Has it sunk in yet?

next Thursday morning will be when the reality hits at 9am as those fixtures come out
travelling back to Anfield and Goodison Park, seeing when we get to go to spurs new ground

Then when we return to training and we can go and watch premier league players training

It's really strange. I was far more buzzing when we got out of League One.
It's because we yearned for that L1 promotion for so long that when we finally did it, it was epic.

On the other hand, we weren't in the Championship for very long and so didn't have time to build up the same level of desire.

Until we've got a fixture it won't feel real for me.

It's still fucking surreal to me. Probably because I'm younger, watching us mostly in the second tier, and when we were last in the Prem it wasn't as moneybags as it is today.

Don't think it'll sink in for a good long while.

I'll be honest:

I was at Ipswich game and whilst I was delighted with the result it was tinged with sadness.

I 'only' get to 10-15 games a year because I live in the Midlands (previously York) and have work commitments.

Now we are in the PL I'll be lucky to get only a handful.

I can't and never will complain, but for fans like me it feels a bit :/ to not be able to see the team you love

Don't get me wrong I'd take promotion anyday for the good of the club and city but still...

Also the high court stuff is a real downer that has taken the gloss of it

UTB

This business with the court case has took the shine off it a bit for me. Instead of still buzzing and looking forward to next season, new players etc. we have our owners washing their dirty laundry in public.

Embarrassing.

I bet it’s been quite hard to commute from Fleetwood this season Ched, could you only really get to watch us when you were injured or suspended?

It's like being a kid and wanting a bike for Christmas. For five years you get board games and a tangerine . Then the year after you get the bike that you're really happy with you unexpectedly get a brand new Porsche, a filthy super model that wants to ride you every night and a few years supply of ale. Non of which which you expected and you're not quite sure how to react.

Personally for me it's more about Wilder, the court case isn't going to interest that many outside Blades fans and others in the region.,(all lower league clubs :) )

Wait until the fixture list comes out.

Same here really, enjoyed the end of season celebrations talking with mates about the matches we've all enjoyed, and then the court case reares it's ugly head and it's so embarrassing reading about it. So fucking angry about McCabe and his latest failures just wish he would piss off!! My biggest concern then would be if it's his fault he brought the Prince into play god help us if he sell it on his choice of owner could be any shyster!!

I’m eagerly waiting for the fixtures to be released. My Liverpool & Everton mates at work say they can’t wait to visit BDTBL again as they say it’s always a good day out and the ale is good and plentiful😀⚔️⚔️⚔️

Seriously? I've pretty much shut off from all that

I don't get or even care about it. Of course it will affect the club in a few ways. But it doesn't really affect the playing side too much. Life goes on in that respect.

As for the Prem, its started sinking in this week, not that bothered about the Prem and it will also mean that i won't get to as many games, but i get what it means to Wilder and the players. I may even have a tear in my eye when Billy grabs his first goal of the season.

Like others, the big celebrations coming from League one meant a lot to me, but this has felt something different, its somehow more special

I can't actually wait for the fixtures to come out this week

Eloquently put, dear boy.

The fast paced end to the season contributes to it all feeling like a bit of a blur too, it doesn't seem like 5 minutes since we threw it away against Bristol and I'm thinking we've fucked it.

Then we go on one hell of a run, Leeds have one hell of a wobble, the games are coming thick and fast, you don't enjoy any of them because you just want to get the 90 mins out of the way and get the results. Then Ipswich arrives, we party, but only sort of, cos mathematically it wasn't sealed, however unlikely - this is the Blades after all. Then it's confirmed on a day we aren't playing.

Then it all goes so fast, the playoffs are on us, we're watching as neutrals.

We bloody deserve to go up, on merit. We didn't ought to go up on the basis of resources alone, but fuck the ignorant tossers who know nowt about Wilder's Blades. In a way, going up was a fairy tale, but was very much essential as the manager and several stars could have left.

Now we await the fixtures, the kits and a few signings. It'll start to feel real soon, either way it's chuffing bob on.

Getting promoted was great - but concerns over our ownership, lack of investment and the ludicrous court case have put a dampener on things. If we get new and better owners then I’ll be buzzing again.

Must be like when Joe Bugner got his title fight against Ali. Finally got the fight of his dreams, but he knew he was in for a reality check and it was going to fuckin hurt.

No they haven't we all knew the court case was happening, and to make the claim that it is putting a dampener n our promotion is ridiculous.

It's done and sunk in for me. I don't care what happens now because to me it was the final realisation of an ambition to see us where we belong and for us to get back and put things right. All my life I have railed against injustice. We start again now.

We were founder members of the PL. Our Brian scored the first goal. We were cheated out of it in 2007 by a combination of Warnock's ineptitude, Steven Bastard Gerrard and Rob Styles, Manure and Spam "cheating".

Before then we had the very strange case of Wimbledon, Everton and Grobbelar in 93/94 combined with, as Wiki says "no money to strengthen". Hamstrung by the thief Woolhouse and then by Brearley who was fortunately more honest we were allegedly cheated once more in that season.

In my formative years as a supporter, we spent 12 out of 15 years in the top division so that's where I believe we should be. We have had some shit and incompetent managers. We have had some right old shysters as chairman since then. Compared to Woolhouse, Brearley, McDonald (whoever can forget hatchet man Charles Green) and would be chairman Hinchliffe, youngsters, McCabe is a Saint. But throughout it all, we have never had any real money, but never gone bust.

Whilst I am just happy we are back where we belong, I fear that the next chapter in our story may be the start of another cycle of no investment, arse rape the assets and dishonest decline. We aren't immune to what happened to Portsmouth, Birmingham or Notts County. Not 4 miles away we have the recent example of potential disaster with their flirtation with Geoff Sheard, Cloud 9 Group,Hafiz Mammadov and dear old uncle Milan selling them to......... er somebody who could possibly be a Thai bloke with or without a taxi company.

No lads and lasses. It has sunk in. We are here, we deserve it and it will not be us the supporters, the players or the manager and back room staff who fuck it up for us. Our work is done. Over to whoever owns us and pray they have money and ambition.
