his 2 goals at hillsborough more than quadrupled what we paid for him alone

his 4 v hull is something I thought wed never see in a championship game when we came up
hes only started 9 games had 13 sub appearances total of only 908 minutes this season
not conducive to getting any rhythm
hes recently in league games looked ok, smiling a bit more

can we improve on him

Clarke has been 80% atrocious, 10% distinctly average and 10% OK since signing his new contract about 12 months ago.

I fail to see how cashing in when his stock was at its highest that it has ever and would ever be would be anything other than smarty pants super smart business.

Especially if Wilder could have been able to invest the proceeds to acquire a player that, bluntly, was even slightly better than 80% gash !!

I’m not at all, I’m just refusing to have the same argument with you again. In my view he’s not even 10% as bad as you think he is. Any praise I’ve ever seen you give him has come with a “but”.

I don’t think he’s perfect, he’s just nowhere near as bad as you make out.

The only Blades player I’ve felt like you feel about Leon over is Michael Doyle, maybe you have the same thing for Leon as I did for Doyle where no possible opinion, stat or fact could ever make me think he was anything other than a complete pile of shit. The difference being Doyle signifies the things that were wrong with this club at the worst point in recent history, Leon was our top scorer in our highest league table finish in the last 7 or 8 years.

Still massively disagree, he's been fantastic overall and in the past 12 months had injuries that have slowed him up.
