I'm not saying Wilder has been perfect, but given last Summer's contract situation created by bonnie Prince Bogroll and a half arsed recruitment budget that saw only ONE proven striker sign for us ( campbell is far from proven) whilst McBurnie, Archer, BBD, Osula & Jebbison all departed... what did you all expect?

Brewster is our 2nd choice striker and any other club would have paid up his contract by now, the biggest failure in our history by a huge margin. (Exactly 250 days til his contract is up if you want to count the days down with me).

I feel quite bad for Wilder, he hasn't got much of a deck to shuffle and thats not his fault. Only thing I can suggest is playing Brooks & Rak-Sakyi together somehow. Possibly give Robinson a run at LB. He gives 100% and that's the spirit we need now.

give Robinson a run at LB
No thanks, we need footballers at full back who can get crosses into the box. The fact that we’re choosing not to do this would be irrelevant if JLT played because he’s not going to get forward unless it’s a long throw.

Why ? Burrows was signed for £3 million as a left back, looks good, had a poor game against Leeds, wasn’t played last night, fuck knows why ? Another brain fart, cos McAllum was getting toasted . I like JLT but…….

Agree re Wilder and his limited options to shuffle the pack 👍
But I wouldn’t have Robbo anywhere near LB .. if he’d been up against Doak yesterday I think it would have been disastrous not that McCallum covered himself in glory . Last time we tried a centre back at left back was Trusty up against Sakha & that didn’t turn out too well , between Burrows & RND we should have enough there ⚔️

Any of the left backs would have failed to stop Doak 1v1. The problem was that 1v1s were allowed to happen so frequently. As a result Boro tore us apart like no one else has all season. Brooks out wide would help stop this, but for some reason Wilder thinks OHare is a better option to have on the pitch - presumably due to his stellar attacking contribution
