Anyone see Harry got his 1st start of the season as Hull got hit for 6, not the best way to kick off but hopefully he can get a few more.

They're waxing lyrically about him on MOTD2 'best performance from a centre back this season'. Wonder if we have a sell-on clause?
He played brilliant today and could easily slip into Midfield if needed.

It was a top drawer performance and hopefully we will have a sell on clause because he will certainly have clubs looking at him after that performance if they weren't already.

Just watched that as well mate. They really were singing his praises. Keown a huge fan and has had his eye on him for ages ...apparently.

Still managed to come out with 'he was at Sheffield for years':mad:

Harry was great going forwards today but he was a bit far from Costa for his goal.

Dull will go down and sell him in the summer and so we will get some funds for a CB to help our run to next season's Champ playoffs.

UTB

He has stepped up really well and I thought he was not going to be good enough for the Prem. Got so much quicker in his reactions to situations.

I saw the game on NBC Sport and they were also raving about Harry, calling him a future England prospect. Not only did the Blades get a name check but also Keith Edwards, though I didn't quite catch why - possibly the last Hull player to score twice against Chelsea in 90 mins?

In the shoutbox last night it was mentioned that there might be a 15% sell-on clause. I expect him to move on if Hull go down.

pretty sure its 15 per cent so a nice little windfall for us if hull decide to cash in on him wonder how much of that tufty will see ?

Watched the game yesterday and thought Harry was superb, based on that performance looks like Hull had our pants down for 2 mill.

Dunno about the fee at the time but he's starting to look like a good Prem player in the games I've seen him in recently.

He's obviously worked very hard to improve his game since we sold him and one expects a young player to improve with the benefit of playing with top level players and working with good coaches. I think a lot of PL clubs will be thinking they've missed out on another bargain from the lower leagues whilst they were spending their money on shit imports.

He seems to be getting regular rave reviews. Good luck to him - always glad to see an ex-Blade doing well.

Just been on Talksport about Maguire

Harry Rednapp said he's been looking at him for a while and thinks he's a "real player".
Said he was fantastic yesterday and he wouldn't be surprised if one of the BIG clubs come in for him.
Said you wouldn't buy him if he was "a horse walking round the paddock".
Said he looks ungainly and slow and it's that what might put scouts off.
However Redknapp said he's like Richard Dunne at Man C in that he looked slow but he's actually quick. Redknapp said Dunne was Man City's player of the year several years running but never rated as highly by the media. Harry said "Maguire is a real talent and it wouldn't surprise him if he goes on to play for England".

High praise in deed.
Don't think he'll be at Hull much longer.

I watched it yesterday and to be fair I was a bit fucked off.

I saw Gary Cahill, Matt Lowton, Sam Vokes and Harry Maguire all playing top flight football. A couple of whom who had loan players and great signings.

Throw in to the mix, Jagielka, Walker, Naughton, DCL, Leon Brittian and Nathan Dyer and we aren't far off a full premiership side. Then you have got Stephen Quinn, Jamie Murphy and Kevin McDonalds doing well in the Championship, and one or two other former players doing well

Then look at some of the money we have wasted in return.

Don't want to dredge up the recent past but there has been a few spectacular fuck ups at the Lane

There has. They were called Robson, Blackwell, Adams, Weir, Clough and Adkins, Robinson, Birch and McCabe.

Yes agreed, I wasn't suggesting he hasn't improved but we perhaps underestimated how good he could be. Hull look to have a £10m+ player on their hands, possible even a lot more than that.

I think everyone underestimated him. It's a bit like Dele Alli, it looked like a great bit of business for MKD when they got £5m for him but now it looks like they've been had. And Liverpool knocked the deal back because they thought he was overpriced.

I think it's becoming fashionable to sign players from the lower leagues again.

yes i think hes worth 10 mill in todays market and that can only be good news for us hull will probably try to get more knowing they have to give us 15 per cent of any transfer fee an interesting situation might be developing at middlesbro karanka bid 6 mill for harry and it was turned down if he sells rhodes to pigs for 9 mill might just up his offer for arry thanks piggies

Many of us didn't underestimate how good he could be and were slated for saying that £2m was nowhere near enough,

But hey... water under the bridge. Let's start making the right decisions when clubs come in for our best players now Wilder is here.

Well dredged.

What does make the right decision actually mean?
You don't seem to be aware that there are no guarantees. If only it was so simple.

If Maguire was so good then why didn't the top scouts in Britain recognise it?
A PL club could have easily take a 8 million gamble if it was so obvious he was so good.
Also again you don't seem to be aware of finances. Hull tripled his wages.
Imagine the stupidity of a club forcing central defender to stay meaning they have no money to build elsewhere.

If a club offered 1 million for Louis Reid would you take it?
It was only 2 years ago people were saying he's a talent with a big future in the game.

Also remember our young startlet Jordan Slew who wanted a massive pay rise to stay.
We wanted to keep him but couldn't compete with Blackburn who tripled his wages.
The board got slated for lacking ambition and refusing to make Slew one of the top earners at the club.
Was that a mistake by the board too?

It's called...you win some and you lose some.
