Get straight on it get the players in good pre-season get em hungry and firing for season kick off and make sure they can do 90 minutes COYRAWW

Tell then to go on holiday and switch off from football

If they are genuinely up for it, see you back here, if not get you agent working, no hard feelings, move on.

Pick up phone personally to Vini Gus & cooper and convince them to stay tho

After that, we go again, less of a rebuild than last summer so nowt to worry about

When is the retained list likely to be announced ?. We are already behind the curve so you would think it would be ASAP.

He certainly deserves some time off over summer after the last year and a really fantastic season. Incredible how well we did this year. They all deserve a break

Being paid handsomely doesn't mean you don't need a break, especially in a job as stressful as football management.

I'd rather have a gaffer who's fully rested, recharged and ready to go again in a few weeks than one who's burnt out and exhausted because he hasn't given himself a breather.

He won't be here !!!!!

The new owners may be a little more pragmatic though.

In 17 of the last 20 seasons 92 points gets you automatic promotion.
92 points starting with a squad of around 4/5 starting 11.
PA only allowing minimal transfer fees.

Have Cov or Bristol City announced theirs yet, given they last played games 2 weeks ago?

From what I remember it's usually within a week of the end of your season, if that is the case I expect it will be around Friday.

I'm not aware of your personal circumstances but how would you feel if, as a manager or player, you'd flogged your bollocks off for the last nine months in a highly pressurised environment and someone told you that you that you and your family had "No time for holiday Mr Northernsoulblade"?

You'd be quite within your rights to say "fuck you, I need a holiday and I'll see you in a few weeks".

Think about it eh?

If we are having a pre-season friendly/tour in Portugal or Spain can we get it booked so we I can get the time off work! I love the idea of a Blades aboard and did the Malta one but they have been at such short notice apart from Stocksbridge Park Steels on or around 12th July followed by Hallam on 15th July

I’d say fcuk u i need a holiday 😂👍

I've heard he's off to a caravan at Ingoldmells for a couple of weeks, he'll be loving the happy hour at Sealands where it's 2 nicker a pint for Fosters, John Smiths and Strongbow between the hours of 12 and 5, if he sticks around he can take in the entertainment or mooch down to Summerlands and get fish n chips for a fiver on Sea Lane.

He'll defo come back fully refreshed ready for a promotion campaign after a fortnight of that

Plans for recruitment irrespective of what division we were going to be in should've started in January. We would already know who would likely leave or be sold and start scouting for replacements. Any players leaving their current clubs out of contract we should've already been talking to their agents about.

Do I have any faith that we've done this given our previous track record and new signings not being match fit until October or November? Not a chance. Steve Bettis is a joke when it comes to getting deals done.

That’s down to a combination of manager & scouting/recruitment, not Bettis. And the manager appears to have had far too much say over the make up of the scouting/recruitment team.
