Reckon this could be an indication of Gilchrist going back. No need for another right back as we already have Gilchrist, Seriki and Choudhury who can all play there. Having 2 (3?!?) right backs on loan seems bonkers to me when we don’t have any centre half replacements.

He's quick, phenomenal in the air and decent on the deck
Just a thought could do with a bit more ariel dominance in that back line
Agree we need more ariel dominance but I would say he isn't strong enough against a decent sized centre forward and teams would target him. You may be get away with it for an odd game if he played in a 3, but the days of us playing 3 at back seem to be long gone.

Anyone saying we're being a bit hasty in saying he's not great may want to wait for Roygbiv and his beloved view from.

I'll take any 'negative' apologies via the method of payment. If you want my paypal, just DM me.

'Mainstay' is a loose term indeed. He started 25 games. Gilchrist has started more than that, do you consider him to be an 'excellent' right back?

He's bang average son 🤣 just take a look on their fans views, or Stoke fans views on him.

An improvement on Gilchrist? Quite probably yeah. Excellent? Pull the other one.
One can only hope Seriki can stay fit.
39 appearances is a main stay in the side.

You want to talk Sheffield United players then so be it.

Yes he is excellent and I think the Americans have done a fantastic job in getting in him.

Yes the job Wilder has done with Seriki is exceptional. Previous management had him out on loan at Rotherham not getting any game time. 12 months later Wilder has got him playing well. Your rating Seriki over the others which is excellent. Great achievement from Wilder and Seriki.

Has to win as the strangest comment of 2025.

We can’t send Gilchrist back, at the moment he’s our only other option at centre back.

Maybe Wilder is looking to have him compete for a starting spot at centre back?

GIlchrist won't be going back and it is past the point Chelsea can recall him. I wouldn't sign a right back either but I do wonder if Seriki's injury record is the main reason behind it. Although Choudhury can play right back, I would be very surprised if we see him there. Ideally I think they would want 4 centre halves, we will sign one and Gilchrist will be the 4th option there

I think Gilchrist especially recently has been very poor. I think he seems to have lost some confidence especially attacking wise. He seems to be very negative.

He’s a young lad so his form will vary. Think we need someone with more experience to play.

Fine with this. Need a new CB. This being a loan suggests we might be buying one?

This feels like a situation where we're going further down the list of available right backs.

I suspect he'll be reasonably competent, but won't set the world alight.
