I’m gong to send a letter to the new owners to ask them to sack Wilder and appoint JayGreen as manager.

Believe it or not…..Wilder will have known exactly what we need for many weeks.
There will be been a long list of plan A targets, plan B targets and plan C targets too.
Someone at the club will have approached the agents of loads of players weeks back to test the waters regards interest.

Our fans have no need to panic yet, obviously Wilder has a plan…..might not agree with it but he has more knowledge….all the inside info regards personalities, contracts, ambitions etc. I’m not sure about Chouhury but feel re-assured because Wilder has seen him loads of time in training and knows his character, personality and exactly what he’ll offer to the team.

Another example and this is just made up, for all we know Gilchrist might have told Chelsea he doesn’t like being played out of position at SU, so Chelsea and the player have spoke with Wilder who has agreed to give him a chance trying him in his preferred position…to give him the chance to shine…but no gaurantees.

Maybe it’s dawned on Wilder that both Sereki and Shackleton are fragile regards constant injuries…..and neither can be relied upon this season.
So Wilder now judges right back to be a priority because we don’t have any, agreeing to only play Gilchriest there when we’re desperate and have no one else.

Until the window shuts and the new players play a few matches….we have no choice but to initially give Wilder the benefit of doubt.
I mean, maybe, but if we have to play Gilchrist at CB we may as well send him back. Much better at RB on the evidence we've seen so far.

Just a reminder, we don’t work on one signing at once!

We’ll be working on Centre backs at the same time as the right back.

Just because the right back may arrive first, it doesn’t on any way mean we are lot after a centre half.

It may be the one we want only becomes free right at the end of the window.

Only a couple of days left.

you may be right but souza can play a bit further forward with choudray sitting imo souza has a good shot on him and not suggesting going to a back 3 especially since clarke is coming in if darling comes in i think it will be a 4 with gilchrist back up for darling and robbo back up for anel
I thought going to a back 3 was what you were suggesting. Given the players we have brought into the squad this season, I just don't see it. Plus we've already proven in this league we do not need the extra defensive protection in most games.

According to Wilder last week we couldn’t prepare for a game and work on a signing at the same time, I wonder if Bettis is now coaching as well in the new structure?!

so, presumably, Gilchrist moves to the centre and we're not signing a CB?

I can't imagine either being here to warm a bench.

no was only wondering with bringing a rb in and moving gilchrist to rcb think him and robinson could only play in a back 3 both not good enough in a 4 imo if were keeping bbd out wide left think we will be sticking with 4231 or 433 i just feel were better with 2 strikers up top but at least weve got options now

I thought he said he wasn’t up to date with transfer progress because he had been preparing for the game. I read that as a good excuse to fob off the question rather than him claiming to be negotiating the transfers himself.

Judging by the result he’d have been better off working on the transfer situation.

WHY WHY are we going for a RB when we are desperate for a CENTRE BACK…. please make it make sense.

We will not get automatic promotion purely down to not replacing Soutts……WTAF are you playing at Wilder. Pockmark this!
I've a mate in the navy who managed to piss 2 beds in one night. You remind me of him

Strength in depth is key. If we can have a bench full of players we might actually be able to bring on that’s better than where we have been where half the lads there are just filling the space and getting a feel for what being in the match day squad is like.

If we had a Director of Football/Sporting Director like 19 of the 20 Premier League clubs have and a recruitment team that weren't all Wilder's buddies then things may get done far more efficiently and quickly.
