So Kranky's been sacked then.

Scenario: They appoint Nigel Pearson. The crazy fucker keeps them up. We get to keep Chappers next season.

Has he gone? I've actually been doing some work today so not had the radio on.
I'm not sure what good they think it'll do but he had it coming.

Middlesbrough have only conceded 30 goals in the league all season but sit 2nd bottom.
Trouble is they have only scored 19.
I bet being at the Riverside's been entertaining this season.

Call yourself a Blade?

Boro have sunk like a stone after a decent start and are obvioulsy hoping for the 'Ranieri effect' but they might be just out of luck. If they do come down they will try to offload some of their higher paid prima donnas and so Chapman may move closer to the first team. Having said that, he's never played for the Boro senior team so maybe he's still a gamble to them?

Never liked Boro and their nasty fans (up there with Millwall and Cardiff in my experience), so otherwise I'm quite happy to see them going down.

I get the impression that parachute payments now are so high most teams don't have to have big clear outs of players anymore. I think there's a couple of players that have interested other PL clubs but in the main, they're championship players.

IMO Lavery has earned a start and Hanson should be the impact "Plan B" sub. Lavery gives us pace.amongst other things since we have none of since Done was dropped/considered surplus. I think Lavery has the ability to be our best striker as Billy gets older.

We have not really seen a fit Clarke working with this established mid-field, I would not write him off just yet.

Have to say Lavery is an exciting player. His dummy and turn for our second against Swindon was stunning, leaving his marker for dead. He has pace and good feet. Hanson is a totally different sort of player so it is a great position we find ourselves in. Options all over the park.

In that utterly soulless, identikit lego-pit of a stadium too, bang in the middle of a landscape that's half way between Mad Max and Bladerunner. Not a trip I'll be making again, er, next year :) (with apologies to the Promotion Police).

Lavs has all the attributes of a top player, he will probably play at the the highest level.
Hopefully it's with us.
His attitude is fantastic.

It's always surprising which players make the step up after promotion and which don't

He obviously prefers to watch the mighty Blades from the stands, than watch a bunch of premier league misfits from the stands.?
