Bit surprised at that but I do recall their Chairman saying that other clubs had said he wants to kick for Burrows. If we've pulled out then we may just be bluffing them into a lower price because Burrows won't sign a contract extension and Peterboroughs policy of selling players who won't sign a new contract surely means that they'll have to sell at some point.

We'll have other targets also unless Macallum is the only lb needed with RND battling it out.

I'm quite excited on Macullam anyway.

Yeah I think Mcallum will be a decent signing.
 
Peterborough chairman with egg on his face. He's tried to create a bidding war and as we've signed the Norwich lad weve said we warent goimg any higher. He's now left with 2 lesser sides with less money after him so he's going to have to take less than he wants or potentially see him run down his contract and not put a lot of effort in
 

I for. one was slightly concerned at our apparent efforts to recreate the greatest team of bottlejobs ever assembled so I can't say I'm too upset that this one appears not to going through.

A handful of up-and-coming alleged ITKers get capped in the back of the head off of this one, though.

I think they’ve bought a replacement, well stocked with LB’s
 
also think the sam mcallum signing has cooled our interest in burrows and yeah looking like its mcallum v rnd for the lwb role

No I am.
I think he will he a beast at this level.
I just though McCallum was good cover for Burrows rather than a starter. We are linked with a few solid signings but this could be have been a big, exciting one.
I don't understand why we'd be the ones to pull out.
 
Maybe, our pal Des has decided based on price he wasn't worth it.

Or maybe, the takeover goes through and we have someone else in mind.

I for one think getting Moore is currently more important that another LB when we've just got one for nowt. From watching him, he has all the hallmarks of bogle but on the left hand side if used well.

If the takeover goes through we may well go back in, toward the end of the deadline, who knows.

Players put more effort in when they’re in the last year of their contract, didn’t you listen to Prince Abdullah last year? 🙂

U r right so really they 'need' to sell. Which will be why we r playing hardball. The lad must want to come to us out of the 3 clubs in for him so the Chairman now has a real problem.

I suspect we end up getting him bit for our valuation not theirs.
