I was wondering the same. Others are saying that it's just taking time for the FA to process all the deals that went through yesterday. Hopefully that's all it is.

I would expect something to be announced today. Harper was interviewed on BBC Sheffield last night as well as Blackwell confirming the transfer during his interview.

yes i heard the interview it was great sounded a good lad just found it odd there is nothing on sufc.co.uk, skysports.com and teletext maybe its because its a loan deal therefore not as urgent

Good stuff. Loved the enthusiasm in his RS interview. If his play can match that level of enthusiasm, then him & Monty in the middle should be extremely solid.

Am I alone in not thinking the loan system has massive flaws? It's as if the team who hold his registration are saying "He's not that good/face doesn't fit/can't play in our system, so you can have him."

Then, if he turns out OK, we suddenly want squillions for him (Cahill), or we'll hawk him round every other club.

Good business sense, I know but it all seems a one way street to me. Fans get to know and love him, then he's snatched by somebody else (Halford).

In most instances I'd agree, but his contract with Reading runs out at the end of the season, so they'll not be in any position to get a fee for him.

As for what happens at the end of the loan; that is a worry. Hopefully his interview was genuine & he is as excited to be playing for us as he sounds.

It just worries me that if he has a great season he will go to the highest bidder next year a la lita. Maybe blackwell should have signed him outright as reading did with Howard.

Harper's contract is now held by the Blades and if he does have a great season with us his contact will be extended.Or like any player if another big club comes in for him he will be off.His previous manager did state that he was a very loyal player to reading <lets hope that continues for the Blades.
