Great minds think alike. I woke up this morning, realised the date and instantly thought about that beautiful day 27 years ago. I also thought about that headline on the green un. A classic day and still my best day ever supporting Utd (though this season has been totally wonderful too).

Happy 'Saint Bassett' day to all.

Blimey, didn't realise it was today.

My mate Rory's last game........wish you had seen this season mate. God bless.xx

Can you just imagine the Stir headline now if that happened again;

"Lucky Blades......Owls cheated"
I know this is a light-hearted comment, but the Star has been a Blades love-fest for the last 2 weeks. There is still a lot of positive stuff in today's paper. Presumably with the other lot in the play-offs, the focus will shift, but they have given us a good run for our money recently.

I remember singing...
"He's fat, he's brown, he's taking Wednesday down, Atkinson, Atkinson"

which inevitably turned to...
"He's fat, he's brown, he took the Wednesday down, Atkinson, Atkinson"

That's OK then.....a Pro Blades Stir for 2 weeks a year....wtf am I moaning at!

Oh the forest went to hillsboro
and sent the pigs down
They did ron , ron , ron

The only decent thing the scabs have done .

Wasn't it "he's fat, he's round he's taking Wednesday down, Atkinson, Atkinson?!

Not he's brown!?

I've heard both versions. I think the brown was reference to his perma-tan.

ah, fair play of course! I always remember singing he's round but he did always have the permanent tan like Phil Brown!

My birthday is today too! In London Town, to celebrate!

This seasons been awesome, but that game was something else ,last game everything to play for and we blew Leicester away and I shook gods hand that day not bassetts ,wilders when we invaded the pitch for the umpteenth and last tme.
