Hands up all those who think we should never lose a game all season.

Can’t win em all

Shitty performance tho, 2nd half so much possession in good areas but final ball wank

We didn’t have the guile to beat the parked bus

not sure about the plaudits for Rowett- 11behind the ball is hardly a tactical masterpiece - but got the result, fair play, onto the next

No matter what happens, Chris wilder should not be our manager next season. Can someone tell me after 39 games what kind of football we play?

But wasn’t it as recent as last week we put in one of our best performances in years?

These alarmist, extreme reactions always make me laugh.
Must be the fashion amongst the kids….we’re brilliant when we win then the same players are terrible when we lose.
We’ve messed up…it happens…let’s see how we bounce back in the next match home to Millwall.

Start lethargic and half hearted in that then I’ll agree the players deserve criticism. Suspect we’ll bounce back and be impressive again on Tuesday but we’ll see.

I understand we can't win every game. What I don't understand is why it takes a verbal rocket at half time to get us to play. Top of the league it should be desire, commitment and focus to finish the job from minute one.
I don't mean to be disrespectful to Oxford, but we weren't playing Leeds or Burnley

I'll answer (bite)

This game today was crucial, it could have bought us some breathing space, and put a bit of daylight between us and the other 2..

but no, that's not the United way is it, pretty much every player except Cooper and Peck took the day off, great timing lads, against a side staring at relegation..

And that's the reason for the reactions from some, they weren't playing Sunderland, Middlesbrough, West Brom or the like, you know teams that should give us trouble.

We had the easiest game of all the three today, maybe they think they've done enough by just getting off the bus..

Other teams capitalise when thier rivals slip, we never do..that's the reason for the disappointment.

You have never played football at any level.

Absolutely despise these kind of posts, sorry.

What point are you making? No one expects us to win every game, no.

Do we expect to win against 19th placed Oxford who have a wage bill 15% of ours - on top of the fact it gives us one foot in the prem? Yes

We have been poor in many games, some we won, some we lost. However, that today was completely unacceptable. Completely unacceptable. And it is right of any fan to say so.

But then in 4 of their last 5 games the Galaticos of Leeds took 3 points from Luton A, Swansea H, QPR A and Portsmouth A, whilst took 13 points from the equivalent fixtures.

The wage bills of all.those teams are a fraction of Leeds. It happens.

Unacceptable?
Sounds a bit entitleish to me.
Yep we could have put distance between us and Leeds, but Leeds could have put distance between us and them by winning at 2nd bottom Luton, but didn't.
Twists and turns mate.
We won't win every game, we won't 'not lose' any game. I get your frustration, but this is football, played by humans, managed by humans and in Wilder, we have someone who, over a season and through ups and downs, has a good track record.

This is probably the most sensible post I’ve seen tonight. No arm flailing, dummy spitting, foot stamping, 3 year old style tantrum. Yes, it was shite today. It might not be shite on Tuesday, we might win and go back top of the league.

Apart from all the other times we've been promoted and our last game a week ago

Agree…there’s a decent chance of that happening.
Just think we'll want to put things right and get back on track against Millwall.

Boro will want to hang on to that playoff spot and will be right at it against Leeds.

People are saying "you can't win every game". That might be true. But if you don't beat Leeds and Burnley head to head, these are the games you have to win.
We could very well lose all 4 games against Leeds and Burnley. We have less room for error in the other games than they do.

I get that mate, but we HAVE won 'these type of games' all season. Many more than Leeds and Burnley have.
There will be more twists and turns, but slating the team, calling them 'bottle jobs' (not saying you have mate) and the rest, does nothing for our chances.

As I posted earlier in 4 of their last 5 games, Leeds took only 3 points from Portsmouth A, QPR A, Swansea H and Luton A. We took 10 points from those games.

We've actually been much more ruthless with the lesser teams than either Leeds or Burnley. Of the bottom half teams, we've W18 D2 L2. 56 points out of a possible 66, an 85% return.
