The RELIEF I have that he is only here for THIS season.
Should really look at the actual news than the horrific 'back for good' headlines
before posting.
This is manageable
We should have GENUINE owners long before the end of the season
and a competent manager to follow before the end of this year.
Although I would have expected Saudi49ers legal team to have plans
for an IMMEDIATE follow up after the wind up implemented by now
He needs a new legal team ASAP

Even though we need to strengthen other areas this seems like a sensible signing to me. If Seriki's going to be out for a while we've only got Doherty and Shackleton at RB, neither of which can realistically be expected to start week in, week out. Add to that the somewhat fragile nature of our ageing defensive MF options and we could see Choudhury making some useful appearances in both positions this season.

In that case neither of them should even be here. What a waste of wages that could be usefully spent elsewhere. Shackleton was always a stupid signing, especially on such a long contract. We’ll have to wait and see with Doherty, but it’s not looking like an inspired move so far.

not against this signing better than doherty and can play 2 positions cant understand all the negativity

Seriki got injured against Blackburn (rumoured to be out for a while) and Docherty likely isn't fit enough to do a 2/3 game week as a starter.

As such, Choudhury will be 1st choice RB going forward, at least until Seriki is back.

Rothwell is under contract until next summer as he only signed an 18 month deal (same for Bamford), I think we re-signed Jairo (on reduced wages I bet) because we couldn't get Phillips at the time but something changed in that deal as he's here now.
Yes buddy, you could be right what you say, but same as last summer our recruitment strategy has been an absolute shambles and here we are again scrabbling around for players on deadline day with the added worry these clueless skint owners might just cash in on the only real talent left at the club worth a few quid.

Really hoped we could get Hamza back at some point but always thought that the (allegedly) high salary he was on would be a stumbling block.

He will make us so much more solid down the right where we have been struggling for a long time.

Admittedly he won't be the marauding attacking threat but against sides with pacy wingers/wingbacks very little will bypass him which will provide us with a good platform for the more creative players.

At least we will now have 100 million social media followers from Bangla Desh, gotta lift the clubs global profile when they swamp the internet.

I'd agree with that, although Doherty put in a good performance against Blackburn, time will tell how useful he'll be. As for Shackleton, he's played so little god knows how good he is any more or whether his body can hold up.

Is there anybody out there who believes as Wilder
that Choudhury was our best player in the semis and play off Final??
Really?
All I know is that the bloke Watson who came on on the left wing broke inside to score the winner!

The only way I am seeing Choudhury as an option
is if Leicester say
you can loan Harry Souttar if you pay his wages in full
but you have to do the same with Choudhury

Hoever was shocking when he came last season
but grew into the role and was doing much better than Choudhury ever did at fullback/wingback
although I have no idea where he is
and apparently Seriki is NOT out long term.

Binford Bindon or whatever is a much better loanee as a CB that Wilder says he still wants
despite McGuiness featuring
and Baptiste doing far better than any of us expected
has today gone to Charlton
but of course he is NOT a Wilder signing so cannot be considered by Wilder.

Why do you keep replying to your own posts?

Nonsense

We really need Seriki back as quickly as possible, don’t we. Let’s hope that he’s available again after the international break as Wilder suggested in yesterday’s presser. As it stands he has no credible competition for the RB spot at all unless Doherty becomes capable of actually playing matches.

Rothwell has been far better than the levels of Choudhury tonight.

Rothwell's been fucking shite and although Choudhury struggled against a kid having an outstanding game, it shouldn't have been too big an ask for Tanganga or McGuinness to drop in behind and help out a bit.

First game of the season for the new signing, some of you will be overjoyed at having a scapegoat and a stick to beat the manager with. Well done 👍

Choudury is not a right back.

Choudhury’s awful performance was pulling the whole defence out of shape. He did Tanganga & McGuiness no favours at all. He gets a free pass from me because it was his first game, but he was shite all evening.

And the fans don’t need another scapegoat, they’ve already decided it’s Arblaster. As you say, I’m sure they’ll be overjoyed to have one, and of course there always has to be one, it’s one of the really wank aspects of our support, unfortunately.

Nobody is making him a scapegoat, it's deserved criticism of an abysmal performance. He's not a right back but he was signed to play in that position, which again would be a deserved criticism of the manager if it backfires, rather than a stick to beat him with.

Hopefully he's just rusty and can be at least competent at right back until Seriki is back.

So why is everyone piling in on him? Seriki would have been similarly roasted against that winger and he is a right back.
Because he constantly stood in the wrong position giving the winger 30 yards too much space , didn’t track back, failed to block any cross, pass or shot and didn’t tackle properly just hung a leg out. They created at least 5 or 6 gilt edged chances down his side. On the upside he was decent in the air. He should have been hooked at HT or sooner. Seriki maybe struggles with their wingers pace but he doesn’t make the same half dozen basic positioning mistakes.
