Hamza Choudhury - the new Trevor Hockey?

When we have to take the game to the opposition he’s a waste of a shirt. We saw that away at Derby.

Ok against the better teams where you have less of the ball.
In the same way that starting with 10 defenders might be good against tougher teams I would agree. When he starts we are much weaker in Midfield IMO. We gain a player defensively but lose a controlling or offensive player.

Just a question is it wilders tactic for choudhury to play behind the centerbacks or is he doing it on his own accord?

That first 45 he pretty much sat as the last man with the ball (been case often since he's come in), which leads to peck been isolated on his own in the middle and dropping deeper to try and show for the ball, which then leads our attackers with a massive gap from them and in turn is easy to put banks of defenders to cut out the passes.

It's frustrating to watch and is quite obvious and not sure why wilder hasn't addressed this.

Against cov he didn't play this way and was further up the pitch as a proper pivot.

He doesn't have the passing range of norwood or coutts pass and move to sit that deep and dictate play it's all a bit strange, he's often stood next to Cooper on goalkicks too.

If we're blaming a defensive midfielder for our ineptitude to create even a solitary decent chance in 90 minutes against Oxford United we need to think again.

Spot on mate

And yesterday, it was just too early to start Souza who did look very rusty.
Injuries permitted, he shouldn't be starting in any of the next 3 games

We were worse when the subs came on. Souza just added to the chaos.

Souza was poor, but the subs were just thrown on, seemingly without any plan, or re-set of tactics. From where I was sat, there didn’t seem to be a plan b.
Wilder got it wrong in terms of team selection and tactics.Instead of adjusting with a plan b, he carried on, until half way through the second half, when he just started throwing players on, more in hope than any tactical re-set, apart from trying to lump it up to Moore, which sadlyplayed right in to their hands. What was the point in bringing Rak Saki on, if you left him out cold, without the ball?
Poor from Wilder and the coaches today. But 6 games to go.He got us here, so deserves our support.I just hope he’s looked at his own efforts yesterday and given himself 3/4 out of 10, instead of just looking at the player’s 5/6 out of 10 performance.
