Deals aren’t negotiated in a vacuum and completely within our own control and favour? Who knew?Things changed in our favour when Leicester realised we were interested in Charles. Having that public interest in another player has played into our hands and Leicester will have been concerned that the deal was going south since we looked elsewhere...
The sad part about this is that we've missed several weeks bringing Choudhury up to fitness.
Imagine playing a striker who doesn't play well as a lone striker as a..... lone striker![]()
For this season at least, do you think Campbell has consistent game time in him? That's my concern at present tbh. We obviously needed strengthening but the new players have to fit together.
I'm happy with most either signed or linked but I'm interested to see how he sees them playing together.
I think Cannon has potential from what I've seen but I do wonder how we'll get from him if it's him on his own with BBD and JRS either side.
I also think it will limit Campbell's playing time which might be a miss.

InterestingThis is Hamer's heatmap of the season so far. He is more left sided than expected.

In comparison, this is O'Hare's. He's actually the one who drifts all over:

Sometimes being a maverick rather than a sheep works, remember overlapping centre backs? Anyway however we play our widemen Id like to see them beat a man occasionally and theres only RS and Brooks who can do that at the moment....oh and Seriki...and if we are shoring up the centre by playing 2 defensive CMs Id like to see him start intead of Gilchrist fitness permittingOf course they don't need to be inverted all the time, but most of them are for most clubs under most managers. It's not some daft woke conspiracy Wilder has bought into or constructed himself.
Rak-Sayki came through Palace as an inverted winger, went on loan to Charlton in league one and played exclusively as an inverted winger, went back to Palace and played in their senior team as an inverted winger, but our fans are baffled why he's not playing on the left and blaming Wilder!
BBD? Inverted for Blackburn, inverted for Southampton, inverted for us. We were after Mikey Johnston in the summer, inverted for Celtic, inverted for West Brom. Linked with Liam Millar, inverted for Preston, inverted for Hull. Etc.
It's just the "meta" at the moment, being a maverick is difficult. It can absolutely work and don't mind people suggesting it, but it's not stupid, or stubborn, or daft to do what most successful clubs do.Sometimes being a maverick rather than a sheep works, remember overlapping centre backs? That Johnstone lad looked good for WBA again at the weekend. He can definitely beat a man
Crazy decision born of stubborn waysHe's had the opportunity to pick Hamer centrally all season but hasn't. Granted we have BBD now but he could have gone Hamer centrally v Swansea for example but chose Burrows to go with burrows instead in the middle.
O’Hare plays central though so you’d expect him to appear all over. Hamer has been stuck out on the left. This is Hamer's heatmap of the season so far. He is more left sided than expected.

mikey johnston was the winger i wanted to get can play either wing and better than rak-saki and brooksSometimes being a maverick rather than a sheep works, remember overlapping centre backs? Problem here is we have zero pace and haven’t done for about 3 seasons.Leeds, Burnley, Middlesbrough, WBA and Sunderland all break fast.
When we get the chance too break we go two steps forward then pass it sideways and then backwards giving the opposition time to get back.
A video came up on my Facebook the other day entitled Farke Ball basically Leeds won the ball played it out wide player sprinted down the wing left the defender for dead low cross into the box goal.
A few weeks ago I would've prefered it the other way around. O'Hare on the left and Hamer in the middle. But O'Hare's really come into his own playing that central role and Hamer seems to be instrumental anywhere he plays. This is Hamer's heatmap of the season so far. He is more left sided than expected.

No, but I, like others, get constantly frustrated at some of the strategies employed.you'd change the coach?
And just a few pages back 1 poster was questioning how O'Hare was still getting a shirtA few weeks ago I would've prefered it the other way around. O'Hare on the left and Hamer in the middle. But O'Hare's really come into his own playing that central role
We’ve tried wingers before and it ends up with good players looking terrible in our system.mikey johnston was the winger i wanted to get can play either wing and better than rak-saki and brooks
I can understand that,J.B. maybe Wilders lacking in different strategies for oppositions tactics.I wasn't for him coming back,as well as he's doing, maybe time for a different system, more flexible and more pacy. No, but I, like others, get constantly frustrated at some of the strategies employed.
This season we have used several different systems. Which further different one would you like to see ?I can understand that,J.B. maybe Wilders lacking in different strategies for oppositions tactics.I wasn't for him coming back,as well as he's doing, maybe time for a different system, more flexible and more pacy.

If I knew that and could answer it, I would not be sat here at the keyboard.Maybe the one where the ball is moved quicker into space behind the defence and players move into the aforementioned space. This season we have used several different systems. Also more pace in the team, every other team seems to possess a fair amount, why not us?If I knew that and could answer it, I would not be sat here at the keyboard.Maybe the one where the ball is moved quicker into space behind the defence and players move into the aforementioned space.

Like every other modern manager?this daft idea of playing people on the wrong side so that they can come inside and shoot.
The difference being that we never mix it up, and / or have any fullbacks with pace to get beyond their full back.Like every other modern manager?
We create a lot of “opportunities “ but frequently fail to turn them into chances. I don’t think we lack the skill to do that just the self confidence to do it instead of taking another touch or being “safe” with another pass. The difference being that we never mix it up, and / or have any fullbacks with pace to get beyond their full back.
We brought Moore in to get on the end of balls into the box, but have never created anything for him by getting beyond the fullback, to the line and pulling it back.
We do not create sufficient chances
Works when you have full back to bomb in to the space created by dragging their full back in field … we don’t … so it just overcrowds the centre … slows down the attack and is easy to defend againstLike every other modern manager?
Tomorrow-imminentlywere his he hurry up we need to play him v rams
Has Seriki been sold? The difference being that we never mix it up, and / or have any fullbacks with pace to get beyond their full back.
