Problem there us that You're unlikely to get a similar standard player when you replace permanent with permanent, certain our levels. You sell your best player and then bring in another who probably needs a season or so to develop because 9/10 the new kad isn't as good as the one you've just sold.

If we wanted to bring in a permanent replacement for Hamer then it would almost certainly not be as good a player as Hamer. Solomon is a arguably as good, albeit a different type of player.

I agree very difficult if not impossible to replace like for like but i would still expect a quality permanent replacement.

Solomon is a quality player but should be supplementing Gus not replacing him, a loan doesn’t cut it for me, I’m not against using the money elsewhere to find the quality whether it be a defensive mid or right winger
