That's fair enough. Personally I like it that a player takes the time to say thanks etc.

My point was that he really went to an effort when he left Coventry. For us nothing, not even a statement of thanks.

This video tells the whole story. He was idolised by everyone and always gave 100% back. We only had 2 good players in our whole squad and they carried us.

He continued to watch our games until told not to. He never did sell his house in the local area. Of course he respects your club and supporters but his heart was always with us. Look at his response when he scored that screamer against us.

He knew we wanted him back a couple of months ago. He spent the time getting himself in shape. When we beat Monaco a couple of days ago he was on the bench. We wanted him on the pitch so started singing his song non stop until Lampard put him on. It didn't help that the ball didn't go out of play for a few minutes. Then we made the sub everyone wanted. He was everywhere. Made a few good interceptors in defence as well as his runs up forward.

He always gave you 100% on the pitch. But his heart was always with us.

The last paragraph is just weird. Odd desire for validation.

Each to their own, but feels a bizarre take.

Bloke is a footballer.

Hamer wanted to move abroad. He went to Coventry because literally nobody came in to match his valuation. I'm not even sure he will be at Coventry next season, especially if he does ok.

You should speak to him. His heart is absolutely not with Coventry. If a bid comes in from Saudi, he's asking for a transfer because that's his goal to end his career

Thought you said we wouldn't see you again but once again you post a load of tripe

You should speak to him.
That’s a bit difficult for all the obsessed Cov mob on here, none of them are allowed within 500 yards of him or his family. Bittersweet that their first season back in the PL since Ogrizovic was a lad and the police have confiscated their season tickets.

At least they have his old jock straps that the kit man smuggled out for those long lonely days.

Poor man's ndiaye, as we discovered to our cost.

When you scored that free kick against Coventry we all thought we were promoted.

When you put that ball through to Campbell at Wembley, we all thought we were promoted.

When you smacked one in against forrest in the prem, we had a brief moment of hope.

Good luck gus, fat lad from Brazil or Holland or some shit.

Is what I'd say if I thought that I was talking to him . Obviously I'm not so I seem to have decided to put it on here.

Incidentally, hope you're doing OK up there grandma, who's birthday is today. I always loved you.

Just in case she's reading too

Can we have a clap on the 6000th post of this thread for her please?
