Id be more concerned about your username change if we sell him
O'Hares gutsy sprint
Cannons ambitious pressing
Shackletons rare sighting
Need i go on
Think Gus will leave with his head held high and as arguably the best player at the Lane for the past 10 years. Only Ndiaye could challenge that but he didn't win a league POTY.

Cannon's ambitious finishing more like

O'Hare's rare shooting
Arblaster's dead knee

Plenty to choose from 😂

Grbic's Teflon Gloves

Whoever has to.sit next to you at the match should be offered counselling
With current waiting lists they’ll be waiting a while. Also, I’m not attending matches, why’d I want to spend money to do that when I could creosote the fence and get the same enjoyment?

Just shows how the football wheel of fortune has changed for both clubs.
4 years ago,he jumped ship to join us in the Prem, when they looked nowhere near getting there, and now,it’s the exact opposite situation for both clubs.
Can’t say I blame him so long as we get top dollar. He wants to go,and Coventry want to buy,so it’s not if but when, sadly.

Hamer is in that weird spot where he's too talented for the Championship, but not physically gifted enough for the Premier League.
So in England he has the choice between being a big fish in the Championship or being a squad player at best in the Premier League.
I dont think he's 'too talented' for the Champ at all imho.

He's spent one season in the PL at almost 30. And that was with us when we had no money to spend and had zero chance of stopping up.

Ndiaye dragged us to promotion. We'd have been nowhere without him. Hamer has the individual accolade of a POTY, but team achievements outweigh it. Ndiaye clearly the most technically gifted Blade since Currie too

Chong’s Sexy Afro

Just offer Gus 40k a week and a years supply of rassams creamery similar to deal that we agreed with the moose

Make him captain like he did with Olly, he'll stay then, who wants to be sent to Coventry anyway

and very rich

I'm not surprised only Coventry seem to be in for Hamer tbh. He's already shown he's not good enough for the Prem and that was a couple of years ago when he was younger, quicker and fitter. He's obviously very good but you can't really carry a player like that in the Prem.

It would be a shame to lose him as he's great to watch when on form, and there aren't many other players like him in the division. But realistically, if we get something close to £10m for him then we've done alright out of it considering he would probably leave next summer for free.

The bigger question for me is whether we have replacements lined up and how good they are...

Season ticket holder from being 8 up to 24, dropped the season ticket as I worked every weekend, Opted to bin it off the past two years as the football is laughably wank to watch. :)
How did we play three seasons ago before you decided to bin it off? You're watching too much La Liga. That's OK. You just continue creosoting and watching us on TV/phone when you can be bothered. You aren't missed. Roll on the new season.

binned it off during the premier league season, that one the current manager back doored.

Weirdly, I don’t watch La Liga.

Don’t worry bud, I fully intend to, truthfully it’d be weird if I were missed, especially to folk who don’t/didn’t know I exist. Bit weird that.

Ndiaye levels above Hamer.

Dont tell anyone but they've offered me a 3 year deal to play out on the left.
Right footed like hamer
Can use the left also
Highlights include scoring a volley from inside my own half aged approx 10 whilst playing keeper (motm display)
Played left back (demoted to sub) for under 13s
Can sup 10 pints easy so deffo a culture carrier

It will cost us much more to replace Gus with any player similar. So keep him and aim for playoffs once Harry boy is over the line
It would be 20 million to replace Gus. That's why if the fee is measly like <5 million I think you are right. If fee was>10 million of course off he pops. Lets face it Coventry have spent so little so far it would be mental not to hold out for a decent figure.

As Blades we have been down this road far too many times, and as such it's inevitable to me that Gus is going back to Coventry, it's a matter of when, not if.

With the Summer incoming activity yet again turning out to be painfully slow, when in reality we needed the exact opposite approach - if the Gus money is needed to fund Souttar and/or any other new arrivals, then it would be refreshing if the club actually took control of the situation and made this work in our favour.

No more "the club has a valuation and you haven't met it" (only to sell for under the valuation on or near deadline day).

Instead.....
Coventry: We'd like to offer 5m for Hamer.
United: Rejected, our valuation is 10m, and if you don't offer 10m then all lower offers will be completely ignored.
Not only that, but the non negotiable asking price goes up to 12m after the Championship season commences - so stop messing about and get your 10m offer in, or off you pop.
