Ah so not as bad as what fans are saying online then?
I don’t know what they’ve said, I can only comment on what I saw right after your post… Reight ball to O’Hare. Shite corner.

He didn’t look in any pain but played a shite corner so can’t rule it out

Never mind Coventry…Hull are a lot worse and they’ve not signed anyone of note either. They’ll both be coming straight back down, you’d think with Ipswich.
Hull being beaten to a signing by Real Madrid was a bit of a surreal moment though

You can tell by how frosty he is during that presser regarding transfers.
Yea, he definitely didn't like being asked the questions did he.
He sort of alluded that to get two centre halves in, it would need a player to leave..

Doesn't feel backed.

Lacking creativity.

Lacking defensive solidarity.

Needs to sell his only creativity to instil some solidarity. Thrilling.

On the assumption Hamer won't sign a new contract under any circumstances, I think it probably would be the right thing to move him on provided the funds (no less than £7/8m) can be used.

I don't think we're in a top 2 fight this year, so we have to take a longer term business decision on it.

It'll be a shame to see him go, but - like with Berge - I'm surprised he's been here as long as he has.

Whilst, pragmatically, I'm almost there with you in terms of this thinking and planning, emotionally I want him to stay and spitefully I want him to go anywhere but Cov just to spoil their joy.

I think his general shape is enough to spoil their joy in a very competitive premier league 🙂

yes agree with you captain hamer played the last few games of last season looking like a man who knew he wouldnt be here this season but i dont think hes premier league and think he will get caught out fitness and pace wise in the prem coventry fans will see a different hamer than the one they sold us 8/10m and i would snatch their hands off

I think due to living down here, I feel it more than most on this forum as it'll be rammed down my throat when it happens. I'm hopeful for Blades back home that, social media aside, it'll be a bit more out of sight, out of mind. Here, there'll be a collective jizzfest.

I agree with this to the point where I don't really see who it benefits (probably us the most to be honest).

I don't think Coventry (fans) will get the player they think they're getting and we lose a valuable asset even if he's not been right at the top of his game recently.

If I were a newly promoted team, i'd prefer to go with younger players with potential rather than someone approaching 30 who may have seen his best days already?
If we get a good price, I'd be sad but not devastated.

Obviously, we'll now sell him for peanuts and Coventry will revitalise him to be far better than he ever was 🤣

I think people are getting confused here. He won't be starting in their midfield. He will be used as a squad player. Come off the bench after 60/70 mins as that's when he will be effective with his fitness issues.
We desperately need him off the wage bill and I would be happy for 5 million. He's in the last year of his contract so I would prefer to get a fee than lose him for nothing.
