Fuck you cancer you Fucking fuck!!!
I've just read the funding page for Charley and the football side of things is now irrelevant to me. Hope she raises millions :(
Agree so much ,one of my drivers asked for a day off 7 months ago for a check up ,never had a day off ,he phoned me that afternoon saying he might be off for a bit. He died on Saturday :(

Never spied Deadly_D'Jaffo but did manage to put something in the buckets, hope they've done well this evening :)

I think I clocked you Foxy if you had a backpack on? Thank you for chucking in pal, much appreciated.

We've finished counting and it totals £337.57. Massive thank you to everyone who contributed, asked about Charley's story and shared via social media. It is an eye opener to see just how powerful social media + human compassion can be.

We might bicker amongst ourselves, but we have a wonderful community that offer support in times of need and I am proud to be a part of it tonight.

Thank you all.

The lasses who were doing the collecting did a wonderful job getting as much raised as possible tonight. They genuinely seemed to appreciate each contribution too. I was more than happy to chuck in.

I hope you reach your target.

Someone told my better half (who was collecting) that they saw this thread and mentioned my username. Unfortunately she wasn't aware of my S24SU alias and not aware who Laurent D'Jaffo is :(

To educate her I shall try and dig out the April 1st 2001 VHS.

I'll always have a soft spot for owd Robocop :)

Evening Blades

There will be a fundraising effort at the friendly vs. Hallam FC to raise money for Charley Ashton, a super brave young Mum who needs supporting for life saving Immunotherapy.

Charley is a friend of the family, so my better half and a couple of her friends shall be bucket collecting at Sandygate tomorrow. You can read more about Charley's challenge at www.cureforcharley.com

Donations, great or small, contribute to a very desperate cause. Please make a difference by sparing what you can or raise awareness by simply sharing on social media.

Well you got the team right.

Was it 4-2-3-1? Who played where? How did they do?

Jake Wright was up front as lone Striker, Jake Wright Senior was in the back four with Freeman, Semple, I am missing a name from here, Kelly came on in second half, Coutts in holding midfield, Scougall and Reed going forward from midfield, Whiteman holding midfield. Hallam (I think) came n for Scougall later one. David Brooks on left wing.

United had the bulk of the possession but Hallam were no push over, and the game was played at a high tempo.

Jake Wright (striker) got stuck in, and there were some very heavy tackles and collisions between him and the Hallam defenders. Scougall controlled a lot of play and in the second half David Brooks was often involved down the left wing.

Scougall's goal was ok, Reed and others also came close, Hallam goalie was good.

Jake Wright (striker) was lucky to get the penalty in the dying minute, as it looked just outside the box to me, but could be wrong and decision could have gone either way.

Interestingly, as Wright put the ball on the penalty spot, Coutts marched over and obviously told him that he was taking it, keeper got a hand to it but the momentum carried it in.

Not sure what that was all about? Left me wondering if Coutts is off soon and wanted to score at least one goal for SUFC?

Local lads said this was the biggest crowd in a while (453), with our city rivals only managing 300 last week.

Good to watch the local lads play.

Kieran Wallace was the first half left back, and yes, it was Jordan Hallam on during the second half.

We are officially here for a good time not a long time mate. Its things like that that puts things into perspective. It makes me feel such and idiot for being in a bad mood because united have shit on my weekend.
We should all just enjoy the good times and brush off the non-important bad ones.
