Half time at Stadium MK today | Best away fans?

The way I see it all at half time is those that wanted to be involved were there singing loud and proud, a little further down the concourse it was quieter where you could get to the toilet and food queue easier. If I was with a child I'd simply make my way to somewhere a little less crammed. It's a bit like going into a packed pub and having to squeeze your way to the back to find some space. The people that were making the noise just have to be a little more aware of old ones, women, children coming past. I can see both sides of the argument but I'll always lean towards the singers because without them I might aswel start mowing the lawn on a Saturday.
Which, having not got tickets, I did :(

Agreed , although I'm a little long in the tooth myself , yes flares can be dangerous , but as long as the intention is not to harm anyone,
Let them have fun and I love the video get a life and join in. UTB , FTP
The important thing is 'do they understand the offside rule' ?

Here's the extended version (including crowdsurfing). Not sure what happened to the video quality at the start

Awesome!
I just missed him jump.
With my dad head on I could see a few kids nervous to go in the back and use the toilet which wasn't very nice(I was stone cold sober) on the other hand it was party time and it wasn't like there was only a handful of people enjoying themselves, there were hundreds. There was great scenes, great videos and one hell of a flare lit silhouette picture.
Top 3 away days of all time.

Open net for someone, surely ? :D

Alternatively, as Sean Thornton has noted, please be careful because, according to the old folktale, if you mention him more than once in the same post he might reappear !

I was thinking people were more likely to pick up on incendiary in a Pyro post but there you go!

I think people are a bit wary of behaving like this whilst in the seating area because of the miserable twats that have latched onto us over the last few years

In the concourse anybody not wanting to be involved can get away from it

In the seats there's always people who will moan and complain and report incidents to the police and stewards
I'm not a miserable twat and I've been here going on 50yrs.

I agree that it looks and sounds awesome BUT it's fucking stupid behaviour verging on suicidal.

One day someone will die as a result of these moronic actions, be it someone falling off a beam, receiving major burns, an innocent bystander with health problems, someone who just happens to be under a pillock falling off a beam, or multiple people trying to escape a crush caused by any of the aforesaid.

Will it still be worth it when that happens? And note I said when and not if.

That's why it's illegal and most definitely not clever.

Another candidate that needs to chill out......its unbelievable how fucking boring my fellow Blades are, and just for any bodies interest I was actually talking to the police and stewards as this was happening and they thought it was sound as they knew it was a party atmosphere and didn't want to intervene...... Just like when SYP guy come to the pub in Fenny and was trying to tell his Berkshire counterpart that we were happy just to have a drink and fun........lighten up, no fucker was killed or damaged in the making of this photo.

Somebody may have pissed themselves though. Won't somebody think of the killjoys....

And there were thousand enjoying themselves without it!

And with your dad head on how would you feel if the jumper had landed on a young kid?

I suppose all this is generational. I did go and have a look at what was happening and then returned to my seat. Not for me.
However it has become a large part of an away day activity for our younger members.

Wonder what the reaction would be if Leeds fans or Birmingham City fans did this on the back of the Bramall Lane stand. Would we be congratulating them and saying what a great atmosphere it created for them?

Having posted on the long pyro thread about the stupidity of chucking one at Vale, this is how it should be.

We were on the upper tier and AFAIUI, the flare was let off for atmosphere and not chucked around. The half time atmosphere was brilliant and even the choice of song sums up the season;

"We don't give a fuck, 'cos the Blades are going up......"

Absolute top day out. My only problem was a prior engagement at the City Hall and Mrs ISC made it clear I had to be back by 7.30. We legged it on the final whistle and were back in S10 by 7.05.

An absolutely fantastic day to remember.
Fancy dress/ weather/ big Blade following/ singing/ the goals/ players.....just everything,

A truly wonderful time to be a Blade.

Was Jimmy Osmond any good?

I must admit , that pic is iconic.
I wasn't there unfortunately but those celebrations took me back to half time at Wembley 93, just after Cork equalised.
The celebrations were going very well before the flare was set off though,so whilst it did make for a great picture it wasn't really necessary. It could have gone wrong, thankfully it didn't, but it could well impact on us in the future. The things are banned for good reason.
I loved the celebrations though, like others have said it would be great to sing like that in the stands. Unfortunately it wont happen until safe standing is reintroduced and those who wish to do this can be away from others.

Disgraceful behaviour. Not what i want to experience at a football match.
Fucking moronic.

Don't bother going then and you won't experience it. Better still, fuck off to watch Chesterfield (or any other number of similar teams) if you want a soulless, lifeless set of fans.

As a side did you actually go yesterday and experience that atmosphere?

Saw that guy from my seat, crazy fecker. - god knows what could have happened to him or someone else if he fell. Pyro setting off I didn't see but heard, this was going too far but the rest was a blast.
Still it was so much fun yesterday, beach balls, beer flying all over the place and great noises from fans, made the day very memorable.

My personal view on the flares is leave that to the Europeans! We've been creating great atmospheres in this country for decades without having to copy the Europeans.

I just think when you copy something it's never as good and makes you look a bit shit! (Palace 'ultras' are a perfect example)

Was Jimmy Osmond any good?

Brilliant thanks.

He sang "Long haired lover from Liverpool " non stop for 15 minutes with flares and everything.

It nearly kicked off big style. Someone nearly stood up and there were handbags about whose Werthers were who's.

Was it true that he large bottomed ladies in tight leather shorts and push up bras dancing or did Lydon just invade the stage ?

I think there may be a few rude awakenings for some next season.
