Aye, I'm waiting for that one.

Let's face it, any quizzing over lack of visits to The Lane in the last 3 decades has got nothing to do with stamping your feet demanding other people invest. :)

It's a fair shot, for people who have fuck all to say about the actual subject. I mean, I could outrank many tiddlers on here and say I have been a supporter for fifty two years (and all that shit) but I don't because really, who gives a fuck? And as Rodders says, I have sung a song about (you) the club. So I guess that gets me HUGE kudos, doesn't it? I'm still trying to find the correlation between games attended and right to voice opinion on an internet forum. Somewhere, in some small minded bell-ended minds, it means a lot. To me, it means fuck all. If it were any yardstick, the qualifying criteria to even log onto here would be measured in your attendance sheet? That'd trim the numbers down a tad, wouldn't it? And possibly make BladesMad seem strangely attractive, for once as the least cunty of Blades forums.

Does that make your point on this look pretty fucking stupid? It should do.

pommpey

ps: Oh, you forgot my neice was fucking one of our players (we sold) for extra points

You put, literally, fuck all into the club. You demand that someone else does ( unless you are really so daft to continually think that the club's accounts are fraudulent ).

It's that simple.

Does everyone else here on S24SU put stuff into the club?

Show your working out, and how that correlates with your yardstick on what we are allowed to say on here?

This is an internet forum, you chimp.

Which is as near to the club you'll ever get.

Armed forces - did you make the Jelly?

Still not quite on message here

So, because you can't come up with the stuff I have asked for (and made you look a dickwad) you're now in on my (former) employment.

Where do you want to go with this?

I think, because you put diddly squat into the club, ever, you should temper your demands that someone else does.

I really can't see why you struggle to grasp this.

Bert has no problem with someone giving opinions however shite they are. It's the insults dished out to the paying customers which rankles.
I'm collecting them. I've had Dickwad and chimp in the last 5 minutes. :)

I think you need to beak out and use the ignore button if my POV offends you so much. We've been here before and you are the one who struggles to grasp concepts such as this. If it has escaped your pencil thin narrow field of vision (and we can get back on subject, instead of up in the heady clouds of ad hominem) Sheffield United are still in div three. That small detail kinda shits in your chip bag as does the wholesale ditching of quality players since, oooh, 2008 I think. Its only when we manage to string a run of wins together arseholes such as you grab your sword and shield and find it timely to challenge my opinions, which, if you have noticed, are not against you personally ... nor have you one fucking scrap of evidence to counter it and are even resorting to trying to bait me on a job I left some years ago. Desperate stuff, eh?

If it puts sand in your cunt so much that someone who geographically doesn't attend every (or any) fucking game has such a strident opinion on the way the club is run then just TL;D-the-fuck-R past and deal with it in the same way many who disagree with me do. Or why not troll everyone who doesn't fit your template of Billy-fucking-Bigger-Blade, eh?

This is an interesting argument of principle :-)

I pay nothing to the US government in taxes. Does that mean I can't have an opinion that the US government should, say, spend less on nuclear missiles and more on healthcare?

I've mentioned this before but it does seem that many of those who are "not particularly happy with what's going on" (not calling anyone a knocker) get so angry and aggressive when a calmer approach would achieve a more reasoned debate.

Bert needs to understand the 'insults' (christ, you lot stand on football terraces don't you?) handed out are targetted at people who pay their season ticket money out and then find it in their reasoning to defend the selling of key players, whilst finding reason for us to be in division three.

Pommpey hopes that Bert understands fully where this is, and hopes that opposition supporters using harsher, threatening language don't spoil his matchday enjoyment.

We can all have an opinion how others spend their money.

But you getting all uppity about a U.S. Citizen not taking on a debt to improve something you also have a vested interest in, would seem a bit rich, if you were refusing to invest in it yourself.

So, because you don't put money into the club, or attend matches, you have no right to voice an opinion?

Anything else?

If I put you on ignore, I'd miss such gems.

You can voice what you like. And I can continually state that your stance is hypocritical

Nothing else. That simple.

But you're not exactly doing that, are you? You're in on my case because I have criticised the board for their conduct over player sales and criticised certain players over their performance.

You aren't criticising me because of that. You are offering that I don't attend games and don't put anything financially into the club, so shouldn't offer that criticism. Straw man fallacy stuff. If you stuck to the debate maybe we'd be able to engage, but the bottom line is some seven years of decline, season-on-season, with more quality exiting than arriving. There's no hypocrisy in this and I don't need a home and away shirt, season ticket and a fucking box in the stands to offer that observation. And we are still in division three, even after my criticisms, some years ago.

You want hand getting that shit out of your chip bag now?

You invest nothing. You demand that someone else does.

It's a hypocritical stance.

There's no need for an essay each time, by the way. Even allowing for the standard 3 insults.

I'm calm, had my prescription Beta blocker this morning as usual and I'm also quite happy at how things are progressing at BDTBL safe in the knowledge that myself and other so called negative posters have been bang on right about this club since at least 2007. We are possibly just starting to see a few shoots of recovery so if I have it wrong this season I can live with that, the bigger blades can come back and start chirping when we have had seven years of progress rather than decline, and btw it is hard to debate when all one side can come up with is how high they can piss up the south stand wall.

Don't think it's really that black and white though Pompey. There's no doubt that we are currently punching below our weight in Div 3 but that's where we are. We've also, historically, sold our best players for as long as I can remember - going back to Mick Jones, Geoff Salmons etc. Unfortunately we have to accept that we are a div 3 side at the moment because that is a fact, and as such we will continue to lose our better players particularly if they want to play at a higher level and another club matches our valuation of said player. I think what is happening at the moment, however, is that the latest sale doesn't, at the moment, appear to have had a massive impact so maybe, just maybe, some people who were mortified at the Gillingham performance and then the sale of Murphy might be thinking that the manager we have has the ability to deliver. The last few league games (and you're right to say that it's only 4) suggest that there might be some substance to their feelings but there is still a long, long way to go. Personally, I like what I'm seeing and am hoping that we can continue to win games and it gets us to where, again you correctly say, to where we probably realistically belong.

I don't think that just because anyone is positive about the current position (i.e. the start to the season) it means that they're happy that we're in Div 3 or that we have sold probably our best player from last season. Just my opinion.

Don't you take that tone with me or report to Linz it will be;).
Anyway, have you any idea who the Uber Positives are? Are they a reconised collective or just certain individuals, can you or ANYONE ELSE name some on here?

You mean the total opposite of pommpey?

Well there's quite a few although off the top of my head I can only think of Woodwardblade.

But as a matter of logic, it's possible for him to be both a hypocrite and have a valid argument is it not?

Not disagreeing Metal. The only thing I do disagree with you on is that it's been like this for a lot longer than since 2007 - and that's not a bigger blade comment ;). Apart from the odd climb to the top layer, the majority of my time supporting SUFC has been disappointment after disappointment.
