Gus will naturally perform better at a club deep down he's always liked more. We're like 3/4 players away from having a real go in the Premier League that doesn't include Gustaaaaaaaavo.

Alright I will bite for the fine of. It’s a shame I can’t name one good thing in Coventry and that is genuine.

Point 1) No Blades fan is born thinking the club is a positive “glory” club, even in our Premier League days it was still doom and gloom, you support the club not a franchise. “Dark times” happen every other week.

2) “He’s Brazilian” he was born in Brazil and moved to the Netherlands as a kid he has never played for Brazil, the highest he got was the Netherlands U20s

3) It a deal that makes sense we have him effectively for 3 seasons for £3mlllion plus salary per season. Last season he was averaging 68 minutes in the Championship before being subbed off, he will struggle with the pace of the Premier League. But don’t forget it’s £6millon plus add ons which easily could take it up for us not you.

4) The too original comment “Everything about Sheffield is a shit hole and the only good things I can think of are the Crucible and Sheffield Wednesday..” I think I first heard that comment in 1995. The only good thing in Coventry was unfortunately destroyed in WW2. Maybe Northampton or MK Dons maybe a better rival as we have enough proper football history within South Yorkshire…. Either our new signings are going to be as good as they look or it isn't going to be much fun. But at least our younger supporters, those in their low 30's and younger, will get the chance to see top players thrashing us in some great stadiums.

I hope you get your ownership problems sorted out. Ours ended up with our supporters fighting with each other when we decided to boycott our games and some refused to boycott when we were playing at Northampton.

I’d actually like Coventry to stay up. I just don’t want you and your pals on here bleating about how good you are, as if you’re the only team ever to have got promoted from the Championship without parachute payments. We’ve been there and done it, we’re now back where we started. It might happen to you, hopefully you have the nous to do it better than we did.

I hope Gus drops a stone and has a good season, I don’t think he’ll play much, but he might change a couple of games as a sub.
