I really enjoyed watching Gus. Even when the team as a whole wasn’t great (a regular occurrence in the last few seasons), he would do something that on its own was worth the price of admission.
I understand why we need to sell him and why he wants to go. But I’ll miss him.

Spot on. He is superb on the ball, always likely to create that magic moment either with a shot or pass.
Unfortunately without the ball he can be a liability and opposition midfielders run past him far too easily.
Having said that, I'll miss him as he's the only player we have that excites me when he's got the ball.

The way he’s let his fitness deteriorate since joining us has been a disgrace. I wish we’d seen him in peak condition. Always baffled me, a player with that talent should be as fit as possible and he could play much higher! It’s the reason no one else ever signed him from us.

To be fair, Wilder also had him in and out of the squad. I think he was always one of those players that Wilder probably wouldn’t have signed but he knew his quality.

Fitness & mobility is the biggest issue for Hamer. He struggled with getting around the pitch & seeing out 90 minutes. Undeniable talent though
