No. You're mixing up first team coach (employed to assist the coaching/training sessions) with head coach (oversees playing side). A manager has a much wider remit than head coach, particularly on recruitment.

Was looking at some shots on target % earlier because United are so bad this year. That Forest 20/21 team had the lowest SoT% for any English team recorded on Stathead. So full Premier League history and EFL since 01/02. It wasn't a fluke either. They had the 2nd lowest in the history of the Championship the season before.
