Why thank you Sir! Well, I don't mean to offend, but I must admit it does irritate me when folks can't spell properly or even know how to use a comma, a full-stop or an apostrophe. It annoys me even more when so called "fans" can't even spell the names of our own players. Like "Brookes/Brooks" for example. I think we only sold him because the management got fed up of folks spelling his name with an "e" in it. It got embarrassing, so he had to go!

The thing is, if you say owt to folks about it these days they go on the attack and say..."I'm dyslexic" and they try and make you feel terrible for correcting them - like you are mocking the sick or something. Well, I have a theory, the majority of folks who can't spell or punctuate are NOT dyslexic, they are just slightly thick and/or have sloppy, careless standards! As I said, I don't mean to offend these sloppy chuffs!;)
But "Brookes/Brooks" isn't one of our players??:p

Hope this doesn’t mean they’ll be getting rid of Sharpe/Sharp

One way to save the “romance” of the FA cup. Make the 3rd round part of your season ticket......It would double Sunday’s crowd, sell programmes, pies, beer etc. A gamble yes, but it would get people out to support the ailing competition......... and United of course.

Think we did fairly recently (maybe 3/4 seasons ago) and a large number of ST holders didn’t turn up unfortunately. Agee with sentiment though.

Loving your work. The appalling levels of ignorance in this country with regard to both the spoken and written word is a shocking indictment on our education system.
tha leughadh agus sgrìobhadh air a dhol thairis air

Chance to see our new signing in the starting lineup + £10 = 10k

If we need perfection in order to post...

If you’re using “so called” as an adjective, it would ordinarily be hyphenated. UTB

You're right. And none of us are perfect. In fact, no one said perfection was required. Occasional spelling and punctuation mistakes accepted. Repeated spelling, punctuation, grammar mistakes, suggestive of ignorance or sloppy standards = irritating.

There are some posters - not many at all - whose posts are so full of errors I usually just skip over them without reading. It's not being picky, having to read a sentence twice just to work out what's being said is frustrating. No one expects perfection on a football forum, but I have the general attitude, "If you can't be arsed to write it properly, I can't be arsed to read it".

I don't expect a sell out, due to over zealous stewarding and the usual heavy handed approach from South Yorkshire police.
