Just looked at the attendances in some of yesterdays fixtures that are comparable to ours (premier league at home to a lower league team):-
Brighton / pigs 20,349
Saints / Hudders 20,091
Watford / Tranmere 14,373
Bournemouth / Luton 10,064
Leicester / Wigan 30,330
Man City / Port Vale 52,433

Most of those away sides took far more supporters than the 500 Fylde are bringing. I think we, as a club, have also lost interest in the cup recently, which doesn’t encourage fans to buy tickets.

This is why it was a stupid decision to close the Kop. A lot of regulars on the Kop will decide not to go.

2 goats, 1 pigeon and 1 dead Norwegian blue parrot....

Well unfortunately I won't be there as my young'un has a game at 12:00 in the Sheffield and District Sunday League, so take two off your predictions guys!

Same here but ours kicks off at 2pm.

Real grudge game too.

I went, took my 4 year old daughter who didn't give a shit about the game.

That being said, I love these games. Always good to see the second string team. Maybe a last chance to see Big Leon.

A chance to see Ravel, Rodwell and see how Kean Bryan is developing.

That said wouldn't judge anyone for not going.

Thought we were going to go nap after first 15 minutes. Petered out a bit and became a bit mundane. As mentioned it was worth it to see the lads who never normally play. Shame about Verrips, looked ok. Nice to see L Freeman for 90 minutes, ditto Besic and Osborne. Rodwell looked comfortable and always great to see Leon.

Are we the only premier league team that played in a ground that had the atmosphere of a pre-season friendly and attendance to match? The next time anyone mentions away points, we will have to refer to the BBC archives for why some fans can get Spurs away and some just can’t.
