Yeh we did grind out 3 more points but this was on back of two impressive & hard fought away wins in a week . These were the games last season we couldn’t capitalise on and let points slip through our fingers . As I just said in my player ratings comments I think if we’d just had a bit more composure that first 20 mins we’d have probably been a bit more comfortable.
I’ll more that happy if we grind out a few more like this if the outcome is a 3 point return , we’re learning to be more professional in seeing out the result

All about getting 3 points today, nothing else.

We were never likely to be at our best with only two days rest, but as expected an unchanged team was enough to get the job done today.

It's good that we've got one of these Wednesday-Saturday scenarios out of the way without paying the price.

We certainly never looked like losing today and 1-0 was the right scoreline.

It was also satisfying to see us not hanging on for dear life in the last 10 minutes, by our standards that was comfortable.

today was a very valuable 3 points because i havent seen us grind out a tight win like that for a while this was to be expected, because with 3 tight competitive games in 7 days was going to be tough physically & you cant expect the same performance levels in all 3.

It looks like we have gained another string to our bow this season, in that we can win games when not at our best, & I am happy about that. Far too many times last season any dip in our standards punished us with bad results & losing points, so the fact we can now win "ugly" shows as a club we are learning management of games. So far we have picked up quite a few points from games we lost or drew last season, & early days I know but we are top of the league & if we hit prime form that will send shudders through our rivals.

Absolutely 100% bang on, we’ve grown from last season, how many games this season would we have lost/drawn last season..Norwich/brum/Preston:Millwall/hull etc etc...signs of a good team in my opinion

Super win, but we really looked jaded, which is understandable given the fixtures. Not knocking anyone, but we do need some pace up front to run the channels. Johnson looked decent when he came on. Henderson was superb! Hull were worth a point and on that showing shouldn't be near the bottom of the league.

With respect, these kind of comments are not realistic. It honestly makes me laugh when fans around me who carry the girth of baby whales start moaning about players looking tired.

We are a very attacking side and tiredness is inevitable. I think the fact they earn big money makes people think they should have unlimited fitness. All players get tired at different points. At times, he will have to rest players. It's totally normal.
