This is what you call perfect timing! All hail the Sheffield Council's Safety Advisory Group!

If we're facing a total sell out towards the end of the season.

Wonder if they'll remove the netting on the south stand and family stand separating that from the away end lower tier? Or would they be concerned that United fans might try to invade the pitch to fight themselves?

With away fans in the upper tier and Blades in the lower.
I wonder what the new operating capacity will be with the new arrangement?

pretty sure they've added seats in the family corner since the PL season too so not sure if they count those in the figures.

Would be nice if whoever goes in it can manage to behave themselves so this trial is a success. I'll not hold my breath though, we have some real thick knuckledraggwrs who follow us and spoil it for the vast majority.

BTW that'll pee the pigs off as well with all the moaning on their forums and RS about SAG restricting their capacity moe and more :D

Can't see where they could fit anymore?

They are pointless and I'd be shocked if they were included.

To be perfectly honest I think both clubs have let the city down over the years. Whether it's not having a presence in the top league or the antiquated state of both grounds.
If England was chosen to step in and host the World cup/Euros in the near future (maybe Instead of Qatar). I think Sheffield would be omitted altogether. The football authorities seem to prefer bowl like stadiums that can be divided up easily for neutral games.
The way we and Wendy have haphazardly developed the grounds over the years and the addition many more new stadiums throughout the country, could see the birthplace of football get overlooked.

Give me a stadium which has evolved over time, which shows character and which differs from stand to stand, over a uniform bowl any day. And if any of the governing bodies, domestic or international, don't like it, you could count the number of fucks I give on the fingers of a Saudi Arabian kleptomaniac.
