I have asked Jim Phipps via Twitter to take note of fans opposition to the FA Commission plans recorded here and pass them on to the club. So please make your voice heard!

No doubt the next step for the Commission will involve large bribes to clubs to accept Premier League b. All clubs must unite against this and REFUSE the bribes at all cost. Sportimg competition must prevail over money otherwise we will all fall out of love with football.

After today's lack of respect shown by the Premier League regarding the Bradford disaster.

I now think we should boycott the Premier League if we ever get near there again.

A prime example of there been too many foreigners in the premier league is bacary fucking sagna, playing weak in weak out apart from yesterday. They have carl jenkinson ,english, albeit not world class by any means but fuck me,him or basic sagna,i know who i'd have.Sagna got offered a new deal ,an improvement on his £100k plus deal per weak, where as jenkinson gets about £40k per weak and as players there is no difference, infact if anything i'd plump for jenkinson everyday. They would be saving over £60k per weak ,thats just over £3.1 MILLION a year, playing an englishman and for me playing a better player allready, with age on his side, this then meaning an english player getting COMPETITIVE fucking football, therein lies just one of the many problems, bellend dyke.

Except, having more English players in the Premier League, or in any league in general doesn't necessarily improve the England team, which this is supposed to be about.
In 1994 67% of players in the PL were English, and England failed to even qualify for World Cup.
If the FA is serious about improving English players they need to look at the coaching and progression to 1st teams from an early age, trying to force a quota of English players into PL teams won't work, and won't be accepted by the PL teams themselves. They want the best quality players they can buy, and that isn't English at present. The other major issue is the cost of decent English players to buy. Man City's defense yesterday cost roughly the same as Glenn Johnson. How much would 'average' English internationals like Wellbeck cost to buy?
The final reason this won't work is that European law doesn't allow for discrimination against EU nationals, which most foreign players actually are.

It makes my blood boil when i here about things like Dykes latest proposals.
Does he want to belittle the lower tiers even more surely the loan system works perfectly for this purpose.
It takes the younger players out of their comfort zone and gets them playing with and not just against seasoned pro's.

i'll be quite happy when the big five or six push off to the euro league and take all of their tourists and fair weather fans with them
And the Euro League would be really exiting instant turn off bit like the Indian Cricket League.

This "improving the England team" should be a proper long term plan, and it needs to start at the bottom. The FA and the other money grabbing bastards don't give two fucks about grass roots football, and while that is their attitude then there will be no improvement up the ladder. The rich clubs will still nick the best kids, but as grass roots football dies off then there will be less players coming through than ever before.

Most of the telly money goes towards paying rich footballers to get even richer. Wayne Rooney gets £300k a week before tax, yet community clubs struggle for the sake of a few grand a year. What's Greg Dyke doing about that?

Is it -
A) Nothing.
B) Grass roots? What's that, a new baldness treatment?
C) Properly fuck all.

Ha. Trick question. The correct answer is:

D) How much will you pay me to give the answer you want me to give?

Couple of things about this thread but mostly based on the post quoted.

1. Football is dying at grass roots before clubs even get hold of the little blighters. I walk my dog adjacent to excellent facilites every day, football pitches, basketball courts, skateboard "thingy" (never really interested me this rolling around on little bits of wood), the whole works. How often do I see kids actually playing any sort of sport on any of it? Once a flood.
I see youths loitering in the area trying to get their hands up some lasses skirt every other night (nowt wrong with that as a passtime but it hardly counts as sport) and there is much evidence (cans, fag butts, johnnies) that late night activity takes place but NO football, EVER.
There are organised matches at week-ends but whatever happened to kids spending all day/evening playing the game just for fun? Whilstever that's not happening the future is bleak indeed.

2. ALL the telly money is spunked away on over inflated wages (as an aside I suspect some major fiddling goes on and there is bugger all difference between pre/post tax figures for many players).

3. What sort of percentage of fans would make any changes that harmed their clubs prospects in favour of the National team? Less than 10% would be my "finger in the air" stab. They are trying to solve a problem (a shit National team) that really isn't a problem to football fans throughout the country, just those wankers who like to wear their pristeen Engerland kits down the pub every couple of years.

4. Boycott? You betcha, certainly won't catch me watching us play anyones B team.

Quick note to Latters. You underestimate the power of the people, there is NOTHING that you can't have a say in if you choose. Imagine if old Emmeline Pankhurst had decided she couldn't do owt about women not being able to vote and had just cracked on with the ironing instead.

It's called evolution gentlemen and you can squawk as much as you like but in a capitalist society as long as there's a profit in it your not going to stop it ...
Anyway lets face it, us plebs are suckers for a big spectacle, even the Romans knew that...

I cant imagine past the top 5 having b teams purely on financial grounds , arsenal chelsea the manchester pair spurs, other than that Everton struggle to get a team newcastle havent bought a player in 18 months Southampton will be selling players to balance their books, Liverpool would like too but need to spend a fortune on Anfield, cant see west ham west brom villa etc having the funds , and lets face it Spain had b teams throughout the barren years pre2008, no one thought they were a good idea , it took spain from 1950 to 1982 to progress to round 2, and failed to qualify 4 times , and the b teams were in full swing

Picture this...

2016 Championship Play off Final
Sheffield United v Sheffield Wednesday

You would want Wednesday to beat us?

WTF?

I didn't say that. I said I don't want us to play in the premier league. I didn't say I'd ever want us to lose

I'm probably the only person that doesn't want us to play in the premier league!
No your not! they can keep the so called 'BEST LEAGUE IN THE WORLD' that's what sky keep telling us, but they have more that a vested interest in keep it going because without the Premier League Sky would be stuffed!
