Following on from Darren's recollection of Bob Atkins wonder strike at Millmoor, here's another question.
Which are your top three goals (quality wise) but scored by players who you considered to be "not very good" (or shit if you prefer). Should cause some debate anyway just for the players that might get a mention.
1. Tony Field v Ipswich.
Can be seen in archive footage somewhere, but here was a very poor forward who, on this day, managed to dribble the entire opposition half (I still maintain he never actually had the ball under control) and scored at the Kop end. Astonishing moment in an otherwise uneventful Blades career.
2. Bob Atkins @ Millmoor.
Dazzlers pretty much nailed it but it was unbelivable and Bob was useless.
3. John Gannon @ Forest.
Cracker from edge of box, wrong foot, flew in. Gannon was not the worst player but a goal scorer he was not.
Obvioulsy if Douggie Brown had scored any sort of decent goal he'd have been a shoe in (or our favourite ex York centre half come to that).
