took 6, scored 6. Second best record to Duffield.

plus he got one in the Blackburn shootout in 1993.
Wasn't it the winning pen?
Whoever scored it it brings back a great memory
Was sat on John Street stood on my seat and when it went in I went straight thru my seat (the old wooden ones)

Have we had a penalty this season ?
I can't recall one

Not many,on here, will have seen Fred Furniss play for us. His penalty record was 15 scored from 17. From memory his method was a long run up and just blast it-most goalies seemed to dive out of the way. He played from 1946 to about 1954 and was a local lad born in Darnall and died only 3 years ago. Cec Coldwell took his place when Fred went to Chezzy.

I saw Fred Furniss play many a time, in mi first memorable team and remember his penalties just as you describe. He had one saved by Dave McIntosh, on 8 Sept '51. Seems he went against his norm. Heap said so.1951-52 Sept 8 H V Sheffield Wednesday W 7-3 HT2-1 Hawksworth-2 Brook-2 Ringstead-2 FA Smith.jpg

Don’t think borbokis ever took a pen but was a good free kick taker.

Purely for orthodox style Blackman was a fantastic penalty taker and I don’t remember him missing one for us. Stepped up looking at the goalie rather then the ball and always netted

There's one thing Bert knows for sure.
It wasn't Don Givens.

I was only a kid when vas borbokis played for us and I'm sure he took free kicks and the odd pen could be wrong

Missed a penalty in the scoreless home draw against Birmingham in Sept 1997. Ian Bennett (who came to us later) saved the effort

Fair enough I don’t remember that one.

Do you honestly remember all these or do you look them up.

Sorry bud if that sounds like I’m taking the piss cus I’m not but if you don’t google these things then you have an outstanding memory

Remember most of them and I sometime use Denis Clareborough's books to make sure

Can't remember the occasion about 5 years ago but the first charity match in effing history to finish 0-0; it made me incredibly happy to watch Morgs in the shootout blast a penalty against the bar (coming out past the edge of the area) just as you'd dream he would.

For the same reason, going out of the Carabao Cup v Hull, but getting the chance to watch Bash and JOC take pens. I fucking love centre haifs me.
