Jack Grealish is a decent footballer who I'm sure could achieve more under a better manager and in a team with better players , where more is demanded from him .

However , I read on here yesterday that one commentator had compared him to Tony Currie . Whoever made that comparison clearly never watched the great man in his prime , when he could single handedly take a game in which he was playing against the best players in Britain by the scruff of the neck and make them look like a bunch of nobodies .

Jack Grealish has not and never will come anywhere close to achieving that level of performance , as few if any have in the 50 or so years since his glorious coming at BDTBL .

I wouldn’t have him in our team! If I was a Villa fan I would be embarrassed by his antics. Can you imagine him diving like he did in the first half with Chris Wilder as manager, I think Wilder would have subbed him immediately. He’s not consistent enough to be a top player!

Has talent, of that there's no doubt, but of the two currently being touted for England duty, Maddison is by far the more inventive and liable to cause any side trouble.

Not quite sure what's happened with Jack. Villa panicked at the thought of losing him to the likes of Tottenham or similar so they upped his wages to approx one hundred grand a week. No doubt Villa promised that when they get promotion they'd spend big, but the trouble is the players they've bought are not that brilliant. So unless a club comes calling Jacks stuck where he is.....but on that sought of money he'll hardly go without.

Having money, as Villa appear to do, simply isn't enough these days. Unless you're achieving things, such as being in the top four, close to challenging in Europe etc then how do you attract really good players.....it's why Leicester are now such a good example of astute recruitment, and look where it's got them.
