After Adkins' 'Ground Zero' (Shrewsbury at home) its been noticeable that we have gone back to basics.
The key to the recent run of results for me has been the selection policy - Adkins has simply picked the 11 hardest grafters, players he knows will put a shift in - anything after that is a bonus.
The likes of Woolford, McEveley, Coutts, Collins, Sharp, and Hammond may not have been in the best of form, but they are seasoned professionals and know what it takes to grind the wins out.
Put 11 grafters on the pitch, tell them to show commitment and the rest will hopefully follow.
It wont always be pretty, but at least for the last few games, and particularly yesterday, we the fans could stand there at the end and applaud our team for their performance. It felt good, just hoping this isn't a false dawn.
