Talking of Rotherham anyone here them singing Sheffield United are coming for you last night against the S6 Scrubbers.

Lol. They paraded Kell Brook there too.

Btw, if that game was any sort of indicator of the "vast chasm" between Division Three and the league above (the spawny pigs were hardly any better on the day than record-low-points Rotherham), then I'm thinking that vast chasm = tiny crack.

Err sorry to interrupt the love-in but haven't they been in admin twice fairly recently.
We haven't been in admin for a decade!
That was definitely getting ideas above our station by our overly ambitious chairman at the time Geoffrey Richmond which effectively nearly ended up killing us.
City fans were not comfortable at the time with some of the wages being dished out and the approach these days is thankfully a very sensible one.

We've been run very well for a long time now and when you look round the leagues can thank our lucky stars compared to some other clubs.

So have Rotherham, another admirable club.

So the definition of an "admirable" club by the sounds of it is that they dislike the pigs and the scum as much as we do. Considering the pelters we give on this forum to clubs who wriggle out of administration leaving some local firms bankrupt in the process, this seems a strange way of forming an "alliance", don't you agree?

Well I'm born and raised Bradford. Always been my second team, have City, for obvious reasons. However, I am in that age old predicament where I would like City to go up for my mates and half the fans, however I know the other half of City fans will be intolerable if they get promoted! Think being around a large portion of a fan base will do that to you. E.g. Treating Wyke like he's the son of god. He's a decent L1 player, but calm down! So, to summarise, I don't know if I want you to go up or not!

I'm gonna go for 'yes' I want you to o up - but only just!

They seem to have a very vocal home support at Bradford which always gives me a soft spot for a club.
Sucking up to us and wishing us luck always helps too.
Cheers buddy

Pigs didn't go into administration & still managed to welch on loads of debts. Bolton avoided administration but "came to arrangements" with certain debtees to avoid paying them off in full.

Also there are very different reasons, club to club, as to why clubs get overwhelmed by debt & have to resort to administration. Rotherham were hardly vast overspenders in pursuit of perpetual Premier League status in the way that Bolton have been.

No point looking at administration/non-administration in a black & white way.

Anyway, I'm not one for condemning those who suffer as a result of poverty (unless they're wankers, like a fair proportion of Coventry fans) & praising the wealthy simply for the virtue of being wealthy. And looks like Bradford have learnt from the mistakes of their overreaching in the past, in terms of the way the club's run now.

No had much opinion on Bradford up until this season but in terms of the football they play they are the only ones who come near us from what I have seen. Obviously we all love McCall too so I think most of our fans would be fairly happy if Bradford went up in the play-off's. My one worry would be that I think they would make a better fist of it at Championship level than anyone else in the play-off mix so, from a purely selfish point of view, I wouldn't mind them staying down this season.

nice to have other fans being nice. but, while I wish them no malice, I am only interested in how well we do. sorry, but that's how it is.
Also remember having bits of slate thrown over the fence at us at their ground. Obviously only a minority doing it, but not much fun at the time.

Wtf are you on about, I never said they did. I alluded to clubs "wriggling out of administration" in very ambiguous terms so this could include either those in it or those who wormed their way out of it. Either way there's no difference really between the two, they just had a different set of accountants and lawyers at their disposal. In either category they are fucking despicable in that local firms went bust and others had to pick up the tab for their extravagance.

We're obviously approaching this from different angles. You with your iron rule that debts must always be repaid regardless of the circumstances. me claiming that the circumstances do actually come into it & that there are big differences from case to case.

Rotherham weren't "fucking despicable" in my mind for having got trapped in levels of debt they weren't ultimately able to repay.

Bolton's totally unjustifiable mountain of debt was written off by a sugar daddy though. Bully for them. They strike me as far more "despicable" in their behaviour.

Non of what Bolton, Bradford, Leicester, Rotherham etc did has got anything to do with the supporters. The only reason we haven't is because the last two previous owners managed to find buyers and the current ones are happy to cover our losses. We can take no credit for this because we've done nowt. We don't run the club.

We're not talking here about a single mum with four kids who is unable to pay the rent. We are talking about football clubs with owners with plenty of cash who simply didn't want to pay their debts. Booth, Gartside, Richmond, Allen etc. at the time were fucking loaded. The only "difference" (as you put it) in these guys is that some were more loaded than the others. They should have done the decent thing and coughed up. McCabe did.

Hi chaps, i'm also glad you guys are going up after some of the rubbish you have had to put up with (also a City fan!) for the past 5/6 years. To still get 20k+ most games at this level after being down there so long can only be admired.
I said at the time comfortably the best team to visit Valley Parade this season and it's come as no surprise to me you have ripped up the league.
It's also the best game I've watched this season by some distance.

I'm also pleased for big Han's up top as well as i reckon he will ruffle a few feathers in The Championship. I expected him to divide opinion like he did at our place due to lack of goals but having watched him for years he's so much more than that. He's massively respected within the game by other managers and i personally think that speaks volumes.
I'm chuffed for Wilder as well as he just comes across as a decent bloke who has worked his way up the leagues and clearly know's his stuff.

We have drawn too many games we've dominated but the season has been great to watch. On our day we can certainly give anyone a game and we do have some players like Cullen, Wyke, Marshall & Meredith than can play higher. Just a shame Cullen is on loan from West Ham!
If we make the playoffs we have as good a chance as any but as you guys are well aware it can be a painful experience!

Good luck tonight and see you a week on Monday!

Always liked Mark Marshall. Remember him ripping us a new one for Vale on that awful Boxing day at their place and then having McEveley on toast at your place last season. Really like the look of Wyke as well. Always looks good in the highlight shows. If he doesn’t score he’s usually involved in some way.

Hi lads bradford fan here just want to say good look for tonight hope you get promoted tonight and clinch title on sat if bolton loose on sat would rarther see you lot win title against someone else but us lol looking forward to visiting you're place on easter Monday again. Farewell

Bantam2016

Cheers fella. Good luck to your lot in the playoffs. Really would prefer Bolton not to go up but it looks like they will be joining us. Here’s hoping for another humdinger of match between our two sides on Easter Monday (hopefully with a blades win this time).
