Trouble is, virtually any new manager is likely to pick Doyle. We're kidding ourselves if we think the alternatives we have are that much better.

I might play him but I'd be looking to replace him at the earliest opportunity. And Collins too. Our two highly paid, experienced leaders simply don't justify their status.

Do we have the capability to bring in a replacement in his position that wont dislodge someone else who is playing better?

PS Doyle as a captain got us relegated & has got even worse during his time as captain.

His big mistake was listening to the hype that we have a good squad. We have a shit squad, that needed a complete clearout. I think he now realises that, but a bit too late. I reckon if we could rewind the clock back to the start of the season, knowing what he knows now, he would have us mid-table at worst. But obviously it doesn't work like that. Whether he will ever be a good manager or not i have no idea, he will have learned a lot from this shambles but i'm not convinced he has it in him to ever be a manager.
