I was undecided on voting 1 or 2, but in the end went for firing people. I don't particularly mind the green logo, logos are supposed to stand out and be noticed, that's what they pay for, it's rare you get a logo that actually enhances the shirt, but the back is just fucking awful. Would they ever dream of putting stripes on the back of a solid shirt from a famous club like Liverpool or Spurs? No, so why do they think it's alright to put a solid back on our shirt?

I'm just going on some of the posts on here when I say lose their jobs. That's the level of anger I've judged it at for those that don't like it.

Understood, I’m referring to that level of anger as well. It’s unnecessary. It’s a kit at the end of the day. We will have others.

Yeah exactly. When I showed it my Dad he just said "I wish the back had stripes but we'll only have it for a year", I thought that was a pretty sensible reaction.

I agree, the back is a shame but the front is pretty great and it looks like it'll be really nice to wear just because of the material if nothing else.

Email the club here about your disgust about the sponsor

They can’t do anything about the kit itself but they can change how the sponsor looks, like they did in the Visit Malta days.

Just plain black lettering with no white box would make this kit buyable, I quite like it apart from that but it quite literally makes it awful. It’s that much of an eyesore.

Red and green should never be seen.

Last seasons kit was utterly exceptional, and it would have been hard to top it. This seasons kit looks like they’re purposefully phoning it in, so that we’ll appreciate the 19/20 kit even more.

I would have gone for option B but the lack of a breast pocket again makes me mad.

A breast pocket is a very useful addition to a shirt or polo. A place to put yer phone, match ticket, sun glasses, smoking pipe etc.

Disappointing design, no classic if you ask me.

Front is fine, back is stupid if we can't wear our home kit at Elland Road etc but I don't think it will look too bad once the numbers and names are on it.
I don't want it to look better with a name and number on it, I want it to look good without a name & number on it. As I've said elsewhere, I wouldn't have a problem at all with using this template for an away shirt, it'd look great, but it's the wrong one to use for our home shirt.

Apart from the plain back which most agree should be striped.
I haven't bought a Blades shirt for some years, strangely enough I am moving house and whilst looking for things to throw out I opened a box that contained my Blades shirt collection. Now we all have our favorites ascetically but the quality of the shirts have been dire over the years. The Patrick Midas Games shirt feels like sand paper, the Millennium Blades logo shirt feels like silk compared but the neck hole is so small I thought I must have lost an ear when getting the wife's assistance in getting it off. Anyway what do you expect from slave labor in third world countries who get paid ten bob a week. I have decided to wear my hair Midas games shirt twice a week and have my ears ripped off via the Blades Millennium shirt three times a week just to pay penance for supporting such barbaric practices. Wish I had been educated earlier. UTB

If you don’t like it, don’t buy it. It’s really that simple and it’s the best way you can show your displeasure. No one needs the new kit every season, it’s a money making racket. They should adopt a very simple principle: “Ask the customer”. In other words, produce some designs and let the fans choose a favourite. Of course not everyone will agree, but at least it gives some justification.

But how? You have to be careful. We don't want the players running out wearing shirty mcshirtface shirts.

Love adidas gear and wouldn't swap it for a masterb8 but this is the problem with Adidas and Nike. Far too generic. It's like they recycle another clubs shirt but stick a different badge on it. Stoke City sprung to mind the minute I saw it. Far too much white. Us fans don't get a say when dealing with the big guns.

Just what I've said above. Adidas don't interact enough for me. Their way or the highway. It's not good enough for the pittance we get from shirt sales. Speaking of which, does anyone know the exact figures? What cut does sufc get from every shirt sale, and what does the manufacturer get. Last I heard was we got 20%. That's approx 140k on last year's sales. Piss poor in grand scheme of things.

I see pigs launch their shirts today

Available today:

up to 4 yrs old or ladies shirts :)

I see they've continued in the Chansiri tradition with shirts priced at £59.00 or £99.00 :D

I’ve just changed my vote. I did think it was alright, but it just gets worse every time I look at it. What were they thinking?
It’s fucking vile

Realistically, if enough people complain or the interest in purchases is low enough, I wonder if they'll actually act.

They'd do well to listen to the fans on this one.

We play in red and white stripes. Not a few stripes on the front with white sleeves and white back. Could gave been an all time classic but Adidas rolled out a template and everyone has to have the same with just choice of colour

if they’d put stripes on the arms it would have been ‘acceptable’ but its an abomination
it’s the fact that Adidas are not respecting our club tradition that bugs me ..we are a stripes team
(.. and it meant i broke my off season hiatus)

This kit is genuinely annoying me. I really like the front and I really hate the back.

Don’t usually comment on kit as I think a shirt is a shirt is a shirt, and it’s all a bit woossy to get worked up’over it, but I have to say next seasons shirt is awful. Who makes the deçisions over this sort of thing ?

It's how shirts are now . Most have plain backs to read the numbers and names.
Fact is striped backs you'd never been able to read Woodward or Currie on the shirts

It's beginning to look like we have an answer

And that answer is a shrug and a "yeah, it's alright".

Can cancel the shirt bonfire and unchain ourselves from the Ramsdens at Crystal Peaks haha

The somebody should lose their jobs option might seem a little overdramatic, but whoever thought a white back and that sponsor looked like a good Blades shirt probably shouldn't be in a position to make such a decision again.

when it hits adidas i expect someone might.. we might be small fry but 20000 shirts and various apparel and the general goodwill of 250k people isn’t to be sniffed at even for a huge outfit like adidas

They've created a hugely negative shit storm here, that much is certain.

If they away kit is nice though people will just buy that and the Adidas accounts will be the same. Don't think the home kit will affect the sales of the training gear, which will continue to be excellent quality (except the badge that we put on it which is a bit pony compared to last year's white one).

What happens next season will be up to United and whether they hear us, Adidas aren't listening to us, I can almost guarantee that.
