Derby away circa 2003 midweek game that was rearranged due to a frozen pitch a couple of weeks earlier - coldest I remember and colder than that Forest match, although I may have been wearing warmer clothes that night!

ahha yes, remember that Derby game - we had tickets and I think it was called off the first time when we were on the Dronfield bypass - certainly the re-arranged game had snow and ice all round Pride Park.

The things we have done in the past makes the past 3-4 years magical.

thinking back to that 2012 final, genuinely unsure what was worse, being maybe the only British team to save 1st 3 penalties & yet lose or fact i had to sit in an oven for whole game bar final 10 minutes of extra time. sunburned badly

but then Crystal Palace opening day 30c & i was sat 3 rows from the blasting jets of fire. i was sweating, only the fire show i didnt enjoy

First season after relegation. Looking at that table we had a better start than I remember.

Crewe at home many years ago 0-0 draw cold snowy bitter night one of the worst games I have ever seen wind whipping through the kop as it was open at the time.

Too cold for me: Mansfield away in 1989. It was colder than absolute zero, and Bob Booker still wore short sleeves.
Just right: All other games.

Mansfield away..... although mentioned so many times it’s without doubt the match I’ve attended with the most brutal weather. At the end it took me that long to find mi cock for a piss I was beginning to think I’d left it at home.

Yep, 1-0 in the league (Duffield penalty) and 1-1 earlier in the season in the FA Cup (Deano with a lovely goal).

I was sat at the side (not behind the goal) for the snowy game. I’m sure that I sat on the other side of the ground for the cup game.

Nothing can have been colder than that cup match at Watford when we lost 5 - 0, I was frozen solid that day and had no reason to jump around celebrating to help to warm up. I remember there being a cutting wind to go with it.
Also, the night before the Blackburn 1/4 final tickets went on sale, I was just leaving the pub to queue up for a ticket when they decided to start selling the tickets at about 10pm due to the freezing conditions. Someone would have died in the queue that night if they hadn’t it was that cold.

Derby away 2004ish, Port Vale away Boxing Day 2014. I also remember Bradford away when we won 5-0 (I think) was freezing. A game at home 20odd years ago was both dire and Arctic.
As a self-confessed nesh git, I love those games at the beginning and end of a season where you sit outside the pub before and after basking in the warmth, and squinting on the kop against the sun. Luvleh! Northampton beam back was great, sat in the sun drinking decent beer (not the crap they serve on the kop!), then totally hammered outside the Cricks after- more crap beer but beyond caring!!!
