Last year, after the Udders final at you know where, someone (probably Darren) put up a table showing the worst record of those teams getting into play offs.

This table now reads:

Preston: 8 attempts, reached 3 finals, no wins
Blades: 7 attempts, reached 4 finals, no wins
Bury: 6 attempts, reached 1 final, no wins

Brentford: 7 attempts, reached 3 finals, now have a chance to win one

Maybe next year we will be going for the overall record just to edge Preston out of top spot.
Mind you if you went on getting to finals and not going through (probably a better measure of abject failure) we would already be top.

We need to forget about being 'in or around the play offs'
The only way we will ever get out of this league is to be in the top 2.

Agree - but we all know what is likely to happen

Mind you, I cannot see us even flirting with the play offs next season. Too many big clubs with much more quality and money than we have.

again depends on the reaction , all the "experienced "players are the ones thats let us down
3 ageing forwards all came to the end of their careers since Christmas , BUT A NEW MANAGERS THE ONLY OPTION
Morgans a blade , an icon , but not what we need , just now
We have to be brutal , discard around 11 players and get in some different faces , defensively we arent far away ,but we have a weak midfield and a woeful attack
Macdonald was Yeovil s best player yesterday he found more yeovil players than any of their midfield , remember only 2 decent passes in 90 minutes and hes our go to man , not good enough
Up front , nothing.
McFazdean is exempt from blame as hes raw, but Kitson died as a footballer in December, needs to retire
Porter , holds up quite well , but has nothing else to offer , Cresswell another at the end of his career, Murphy , playing wide but looks better coming inside, not sure hes good enough , Forte , a conference side might use him as a sub.
New manager , some keen forwards under 33, and 2 steady midfielders who dont give the ball away for fun, we wont be far off
