God we were dirty tonight....

Combination of us going over the top and them playing right into it tonight. When the ref started buying the act we should've kept our cool and instead Goode totally lost it.

The ref was eager to be involved, blew up, stepped in a couple of times in the first ten minutes, looked like he knew he was on tv, BUT he missed RND's push that sent the player into the advertising, and Robinson's off the ball challenge in the first half, both could/should have been yellow cards, that kind of set the tone for the second half, Blackburn stepped up the shithousery, when they got away with a few 'tricks' Berge's booking was never a booking but his 'clash of heads' was a red, the ref didn't exactly lose control, but many of the problems were self inflicted

The term to be used is a gritty display
Based on determination to win individual battles.
All top sides need strength in the tackle
Roy Keane won loads by not being a soft touch
Goodes tackle showed his lack of game time left his timing a a tad off

I think Goode decided to show everyone what a big hard bastard he thinks he is, but actually made himself look like an impetuous cunt.

There was no need for it in that area and was a definite red.

Was it lack of game time, excitement, showing off or purely losing his head?

I have been calling for a bit dirty bastard in defence for a while but actually, based on that, we don’t need it at all.
We need composure and some bollocks but not that stupidity.

One of those incredible games. Those lucky enough to be there will look back and be able to say I was there to see that fantastic performance. A game to remember, the crowd when that goal went in was fantastic! Well done Blades!

I dont think we were that dirty tonight. Strong in the challenge for the most part (with the exception of the red card challenge where he was out of control and mistimed his tackle, ending up popping over the top of the ball). There was some off the ball stuff that went unseen/ignored such as RND pushing their player in the the advertising boards and Robinson barging their player over when getting back into position.

They made a meal of every challenge and surrounded the ref at every opportunity to try and have our players booked. #27 - Travis - What a thundercunt he is!!!!!
Berge was fouled and received a yellow card and then the ref was put in an awkward position for the clash of heads where he could have bowed to pressure from the hordes surrounding him and given a second yellow.

Overall I don't think the game was dirty at all. Just made to appear that way by them. Even Mowbray and his backroom team were at it!

Even including the red card,it just proves that this side is no longer a pushover. It will need the combination of skill and controlled aggression to get promoted.
