It was a very interesting watch.
Two honest, genuine football men who have worked their way up from the bottom and both sport very impressive CV's.
I can't praise Uwe Rosler enough, he has been schooled by his hard knocks, including beating lung cancer, and he always strikes me as someone who quietly goes out his business with a lot of pragmatism, and doesn't get carried away, and i don't think he would look out of place managing in the top flight. In some ways he is very similar to Chris Wilder and it is no great surprise that United and Fleetwood are 1st and 3rd as for me they are far and away the best two managers in this Division.
What i really liked was the statement from Chris Wilder when he stated quite clearly that United wouldn't be held to ransom in the transfer market or with the wages that we pay, and players have to want to come us for footballing reasons rather than for the money that we pay. It all stems back to wanting more bang for our buck. I happen to think that we have some more money available in the Championship to spend, and i don't think there will be any doubting that, but what will be crucial is how we spend it, and i think the management team we have in place will save us from going out and spending a small fortune on mercenaries on long contracts.
