Anyway a question about goals from your own half. After Baker's effort at the weekend we Stokies realised we have scored no fewer than three of them in the last twelve years, as well as another one that was from only a yard or so inside the other half. We've also had one scored against us by Wigan.

Intuitively this feels like a remarkably regular occurrence for such a rare event - couldn't think of a better way to corroborate than ask fans of other clubs. Have you lot had many/any in recent times?

Similar to that, I remember Trainos Dellas scoring from the halfway line, but then saw the replay a year or two ago and it was only just outside the penalty area.

Not to my knowledge, there was a thread the other day about who had scored from the longest distance for us. Graham Shaw from a 50 yard free kick against Portsmouth in 1960 was the longest from what we could find.

Had it gone in would obviously have gone down in Blades best goals history. Gunn pulled off an amazing save.

Memories of Deane vs Liverpool from 1990 which is probably the longest goal we've ever scored? Deadbat correct me.

Yep, over Courtois. Baker’s at the weekend was almost identical. Charlie used to try it about twice a game to be fair….

The other one we had was Begovic from inside his own area ten seconds into a game against Southampton
