FourFourTwo - top 50 Football League Players

FourFourTwo magazine carries out a poll each season to pick out the top 50 players outside the Premier League.

It's based on polling from readers (picking players from teams other than the one they support).

This season 3 of our lads are listed.

Harrison Burrows placed at No 23.
Vinicius Souza at No 18.
Gustavo Hamer highest placed at No 3.

Borja Sainz of Norwich was voted top player overall.


Three ex Blades are also listed:
David McGoldrick at 42.
Callum Robinson at 39.
Ethan Ampadu at 10.

There's also some guy from Sheffield 6 at No 27 who scored a goal from his own half. I forget his name.

Personally, I'd have picked the mighty Cooperman as our star.

I'm surprised Cooper wasn't in the list given that it's pretty much unanimously agreed that both him and Trafford are the best keepers in the division.

One thing you've got to factor in is a lot of opposition fans won't have seen Cooper make a save this season because there have been a few games where he's had nothing to do.

Pointless thing. It's like a 'participation award'. If it was properly reflective then basically every player would be from the championship with about 35 from the top 6

Only top 10 he'd make is most disappointing SUFC loans, and even then he'd face some stiff competition...
