Just seen the goals conceded. First saw no pressure on play; McDonald jogging back and not stopping the cross and then McMahon completely outjumped (barely a challenge)
Second similiar with no pressure and then Collins turned easily. Third saw McMahon nowhere and then Collins air shot and a tap in.
Woeful defending that you would not expect on the park and after the 4 at Stevenage it shows Guy Whittingham is right about teams knowing our weaknesses; namely if we lose it quicker players can break, turn us over and create chances very easily.
Just a few points about Collins; I hear a lot on here about he has been player of season and how he could make step up but I dont see it. He was woeful when we went down; he was decent last year and fairly consistent but I actually think he has been up and down this season and the weakest of the two centre backs. You could argue even Hill has been more consistent.
Today he was at fault for 2 of the 3 imho (other culpable) but to let a man turn and score easily and then completely miskick in front of goal is inexcusable. This is after being largely at fault for the Brentford equaliser; mistake v Crawley and a number of other errors in recent weeks.
If he is one of our better (and some say more consistent - seems to make a mistake almost every game these days) then god help us!
