Inspired by a debate in another thread, how many goals do you think the following players will get this season? My predictions as follows:-

Higdon 14
Baxter 11
Murphy 8
Scougall 7
McNulty 6

Would be interesting to see who is closest in May

He got that many in fewer games at arguably a higher standard last season.

Again I will point out that he did it last season, at a higher level, in fewer games than he will potentially play this term. Why is that being ignored all the time?

Well for the fun of it, I'll have a few guesses
Baxter - 13 goals, I think Baxter will be our key player, with a good deal of goals and plenty of assists
Higdon - 15 goals, I'm sure Higdon will score plenty this season, might not be a workhorse and might not impress fans but he'll bang a good few this season like he has all his career.
Murphy - 6 goals, I don't see many goals from him, he's been too unselfish to when he comes close to goal, I'm sure he'll pop some goals in but he's more of a team player.
Flynn - 4 goals, similar too Murphy, but don't see him playing that many games with him already being dropped for Davis.
Davis 7 goals, Freekicks I'm sure will be his main source of goals, hopefully he is on form this season and scores plenty.
McNulty - 6 goals, a few goals if he's used as a benched player, if he starts getting first team action I could seeing him getting 10 or more.
The odd goals from the rest of the players, the ones above I believe will be the prolific goal scorers.

P.S How come no one is buying into the fun of this thread , come on guys have a bit of fun and predict our scorers for this season.

My lack of concern for a 20+ a season striker is probably because I recognise that Clough is trying to build a side with plenty of goals from midfield, utilising a lone forward as a link up man.

I too think Baxter will get around this figure,he will be on penalty duty,plus he's one of the few players we have,who are willing to have a shot at goal from almost anywhere.

We have just been doing enough recently and this is bringing the confidence back,which leads me to believe we might score more than what people are saying as the confidence grows and grows.

Jose Baxter is my favourite player, to such an extent that I've been accused of having a man crush.....but even I don't think he will get that many. To repeat what Michael Brown did from a midfield position would be extraordinary!

I watched a lot of the Eredivisie last season and Higdon did actually stand out. The team he played for got relegated due to a shocking defense, but Higdon was by far their star player.

I'm not saying he will get 14, but if he has the right players around him, he is definitely capable.

Goyles as the fella who once sat next to me for a season said, will be our downfall. And bidding for shite like Davies at Blackpool won't get us anywhere.

Higdon will have had 2 weeks more pre-season by the time we play Rochdale on Saturday. I think about 14 sounds right. More importantly it's getting about 10 goals out of Murphy and Baxter etc;
