The votes have been counted, and the winner of the Mitre Goal Of The Year 2011 has been announced.

And the winner is, coincidentally winning the Driving Pinchy Apoplectic With Rage Vase, for his long range screamer against Tranmere Rovers, Nick Montgomery.

Well done Nick, on both counts.





Please note that while I applaud Monty for his goal this doesn't mean that by default I love hoof, hooves, shit lager or microwaved burgers. I do however like a good wind-up, and it seems that those who voted for Monty do too.
