116 games for Bash, and considering he goes up for let's say an average of 7 corners/set pieces a game...

That's 805 times he's been in an attacking set piece position without scoring...
So what you're saying is he's getting in the right areas? I'm sure once one comes he won't be able to stop scoring.

Egan and Basham both had opportunities the other night, I thought of this thread as soon as they missed.

Interestingly is Sharp. Approaching 20 games now. Has he ever had a drought like that in his entire career?

I suspect Sharp’s drought if measured in minutes wouldn’t look nearly as bad.

Sharp has played 843 minutes in the league since scoring v Boro, which is an hour short of 10 full games.

He definitely went longer without scoring in both 2007/8 and 2008/9 before going to Doncaster.

Sharp has had 2 lengthy league goal droughts for us before the present one.

He failed to score in his first 21 league games for us - 2 games in 2004-5 before we sold him, and 19 games in 2007-8 before breaking his duck v Coventry. he did score twice in the league cup on that spell v Morecambe.

Then there was a 19 game drought - after his 4th and last goal in 2008-9, he went 16 games without scoring in the league before being sold for the 2nd time, and did 3 more without a goal on his return in 2015-6 before scoring v Blackpool. He scored in both cups during this spell.

It is bizarre that someone who has scored so many goals for us now has 3 non scoring spells of this length.

The Sharp one is a worry and needs to change asap.

No one will be more aware of this !!

The header against Rotherham and the chance against Birmingham aside I can't think that he's missed any other chances as such which in itself is strange given we create a lot.

He'd have probably scored at least one of the two penno's had he been on the pitch mind.

Bashams goal drought makes me chuckle every time lol.
In some ways, wouldn’t it be fitting if he never scored again?

He actually had a sitter in one of the early season games, a header in front of the Kop, and he looked distraught to miss it even though we were 3 or 4 up.

In Egan’s 61 games how many free headers has he missed do we reckon?!

I reckon at least 90.
