Lowering the ticket price by a few quid isnt going to get thousands flooding back in when you're playing shite at the wrong end of the table. People would rather just not spend the money to watch something crap.

Interesting point SCB (there's always a first time;)) and one discussed with several NRS the other night. When asked "what would make you come back"? Most put " a decent team" ahead of "£200 tickets"

Cheeky sod :D

Precisely my point raul and I would have expected a response like that. I am of the belief that people will pay any price (within reason) if their team is playing well and winning. Supporters will find the money if the team excites them. Yes football tickets are outrageously expensive but it doesnt stop Tottenham, Manchester City, Blackpool and Norwich supporters from turning up in their numbers (notably all teams in ascendancy at the moment).

Most supporters usually complain about ticket prices when the team is not doing well. Its generally fine when they are.

The biggest club in the country can no longer sell out more minor games, crowds are dropping everywhere except for some particular exceptions to the rule.
When there's a recession on, ticket prices matter much more than at any other time.
There was a thread on here a few weeks back about ideas for season tickets.
The alleged fans consultant was nowhere to be seen, the club show no interest in ideas from supporters, can't wait for the prices and associated marketing push.
It's almost as if they're deliberately running the club into the ground.

This is for Alco.

Top stuff Lenners and Rev, DP and Grumps - lovin it.

yep we will be completely debt free.. in division four (ok..two) like but debt free.. if everyone miraculously goes bust then we might actually win something because we'll be the only team going.. ooh look a flying pig

Being a potential debt free club still doesnt seem to attract investors.

It seems being in the shit seems to be more attractive to investors these days.

Aye, we've suddenly arrived in this situation as if by magic.
It wasn't as if we'd said we wouldn't be relying on loanings again or completely ignored the need to formulate a proper squad last summer.
It's crisis management after the management at the top of the club created the crisis by bad decision after bad decision.
But that is what happens when you have an owner who scarpers and who just doesn't care about the club.

There was nothing in the post about how we've got in this shit, most people can see that and I wouldn't bother going into it within this thread.

I was talking about how we get out of it and if it is a Coventry or Leeds reserve then I don't give a toss, if that's what we are at this moment in time then we have to deal with it.

If we're in this situation again next transfer deadling then I'll gutted, but for now we are where we are.

Crisis management and bad decision after bad decision couldn't agree more, but we don't know if Collins or Doyle are the next bad decisions as yet. Let Micky make them and we'll judge in time?

Role on 7.45pm. UTB.
