Meant to say....Chessie started well, tactics were right and looked dangerous on the breakdown.

However, what we saw too was that Wilson struggles for a plan B. When we made changes he lacked the decisions to try and change things again. And bringing on Humphries.....hmmm....only 7 months ago my 15 yr old lad was playing against him and although he was class in an U/23 fixture versus kids...he was way way out of his depth today.

Showed the difference between the clubs in terms of resources and flexibility.

Never doubted we would win , for a second

we did the the same at Gillingham, but are getting better at coming back
periods of the game we had 80 per cent possession and out shot them throughout

At 1-0 and in the first 15-20 mins I was just hoping we didn't concede again as I felt it would have been a frustrating afternoon if we did. From about 20 mins in I knew it was just a matter of time until we turned things provided we remained patient.

We controlled the game from that moment on and 4-1 was a fair result. Very determined and methodical performance where we took a little time to settle and then just grew into the game. On that evidence and the evidence of recent games, we will take some stopping.

They came close to getting a second when they rattled the cross bar and had that gone in then the game could have ended up differently.

In the second half we turned it up a gear, did what we needed to do and put them to bed.

I bet we didn't have 15 shoots away from home in the whole of last season.

I thought it was like a cup game when a team from a lower division plays at home to a club from one or two divisions above, straight at em, lots of energy and commitment, get a goal and try and hold on, but eventually the away team gets its better players on the ball, gets an equaliser and you can see the confidence slipping away from the home team, as the home team begin to tyre the better team pick them off.

Great to see Leon Clarke score a curling shot which was excellent. Also noted that his goal celebration with the rest of the team dispelled any rumours of dressing room unrest.

Well done Tufty & Knill and well done Blades.
If you get to see the goal again, as soon as it leaves his left foot he's off celebrating, now that's confidence in your own ability in a nutshell.

Great assessment, BB.

Clarke was brilliant, had a hand in 2 and scored 1 of the last 3 goals. Him and Sharp were far too clever for Evatt and the young lad at centre half.

Evatt was very good in the air, we realised this and kept the ball away from one of his strongpoints', CW, AK and the players must take huge credit for this.

Well worth the wait for that kind of quality finish. Confidence breeds confidence wizardry. Doesn't look like a player who's been out of the squad for most of this early season.

Spot on, in the past few seasons at 1-1 we'd have gone long to a 6ft plus centre forward and Evatt would have looked like Beckenbauer by the end of the game. We kept playing football today and Clarke's ability on the ground was more than evident. I would find it hard not to play Sharp and Clarke up front from the start next game.

The camaraderie at the club seems to be the highest I can ever remember. Even the subs are celebrating like they've scored, it's absolutely brilliant.

I like Matty Done and what he brings to the team but I've got to be honest, I couldn't give a flying fuck who he picks next game, whatever he seems to do at the minute turns to gold, he can't do much wrong if anything at all. :)

Goal celebrations say a lot about a team and the whole country witnessed that today. You can bet your bottom dollar that our nearest rivals will have been watching that performance with perhaps a sense of " OMG "

Sat watching the game and thought to myself if they don't pick up the pace an upset is going to happen here .
Change of tactic second half , by going wide against a narrow defence , carved them open by dragging them wide and out of position.
Duffy after a shaky first Half , had a good second half ,
Lafferty I thought didn't have a great game .
After a shaky first twenty when nobody seemed to be picking up anybody, we got our heads together and apart from 1 or 2 passages of play bossed the majority of the second half .
Felt sorry for Wilson and Morgs , they are working with a poor squad with perhaps 2 or 3 good players .
Evans is only a shadow of what he once was , and should have been booked
Well played United , good bit of management for the second half display , nice sound from our fans .
Now let the rest of the league worry about us .
