If you look at Blackie's teams he has certain players who have to play in certain positions, and some who have to play.

Squinny, Monty, and probably Harper will always feature if fit. He has to play Wardy but based on the fact he plays one up front away (always the big man), he plays Wardy wide right to get him in the team regularly. That's your midfield sorted although he does fit another player in away from home under the disguise of it being the famous 4-3-3 so it's usually Cresswell, Williamson if available or more recently Stewart.

That means no place for Little or Reid, Cotts when he was here and I can't really see that changing for any new players that are likely to be available next month.

Wingers

Of those players deemed a waste of time/money/wages, two of those are 'wingers' (Reid & Little), yet we never seem to play a proper winger. In fact, the only one we had we shipped out to Swansea. Ward does a great job and particularly away from home this works ok, but I would like to see Blackwell sign a winger or at least give Reid and Little a chance.

Remember last season when he kept Nathan Dyer on the bench for months, had to play him away at Wolves where he tore their full back to shreds then everyone was asking where he had been all season?

Reid seems to have a turn of pace, and Little has got a great footballing brain on him, so depending on the situation, one of them should get a run out. It baffles me that neither get a game, or ever come on to try and change a game (Ipswich at home apart where Little made a difference).

I'd have rather have left him on myself, but he looked knackered and I'd have been more annoyed if he'd have been injured and out for a few weeks/months.

Especially as it turned out alright in the end

I agree with you Silent.

Camara is undoubtedly a very skilful player and usually has a positive impact on our play. But, (and this even occurred in the first half), our play often lost momentum when it went through him. His ball control was excellent, but his concentration on trickery rather than continuing a move often led to that loss of momentum.
